"Oakfold house is convenient located in Bowness on Windermere, a mere 2-min walk to bus-stops going towards the pier or to Grasmere. We had also walked 15 mins to the pier and 15 mins to Windermere town centre.Its proprietors, Chris & Robin are attentive and hospitable hosts who ensure we have a pleasant and memorable stay in Windermere, giving us advice to make our way around. "I stayed in the Helm Crag room which has fantastic views of the surrounding hills. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the shower superb. The whole room is immaculate and super clean. I didn’t want to leave! The owner was very welcoming and helpful and easy to contact if you have any queries. I would recommend highly. "
