"Such a cute hotel in a perfect location in the old town part of the city. Quick walk to royal mile and to wavery station. Easy for travel everywhere. Staff were kind and helpful. I will absolutely be staying here again when I come back in the future. "

"This was our second stay at the George. Sadly, this time nowhere near as good. One of our two rooms had a view of a brick wall (approx 2 metres away). I raised this with the hotel and got a standard automated response from their Client Guest Services manager, who also had the temerity to suggest that we upgrade our room! The hotel hosted 3 corporate events during the 4 nights we were there. It felt more like a business hotel."

"The hotel is in a good location, close enough to everything but slightly away from the hustle and bustle. which meant it was peaceful and we slept well. The room was well appointed with everything you could need. Plenty of space for two people. We didn’t really need the kitchenette as we were eating out but the coffee machine was nice. "

"We had booked a superior room. The room was ok but not superior in any way. There was no face flannel and not even a biscuit. Not dirty but not scrupulously clean either. Dust around the edge of carpet and on plastic picture over bed. The desk had been bashed by luggage and the laminate had peeled off in places. The bed was comfy and the shower good and hot. The staff were friendly although not overly attentive. The hotel was ok for an overnight stay but we have had better."

"Clean and comfy room. Many attractions within walking distance. Lots of food options close by. A little noisy when the bars closed down, but too tired from sight seeing to really notice. Staff was phenomenal!!! Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend. Only negative was parking was quite a ways away."
