"We had a great stay here. Located in a historic building and a stones throw from the cathedral so easy walking distance to Kirkwall attractions and easy access to roads for all parts of the island. Very friendly welcome and a tasty breakfast each morning. It is a historic building so stairs and corridors but clean and safe with a comfy bed, what more do you need? We would happily go back to Orkney and hopefully when we do we will be able to book the West End Hotel for our stay."

"The hotel is in a beautiful location, near mountain views, a quaint bridge and river. The hotel has a restaurant attached with amazing food. Breakfast was well worth it. The room itself was newly updated. It had a fan, radiator, heated towel racks, and a very comfortable bed. They had cute snacks, water, and hot cocoa in the room!"

"Probably our favourite place we stayed while we were in Scotland. Staff was all so friendly, the place was quiet, clean and had a great view. Really felt like home. And the included breakfast was amazing."

"The Uig Hotel was in a great location - right next to the fairy glen and you can drive to all the northern highlights. The hotel room was lovely - very clean, comfortable and the right size for two adults and a kid. Staff was friendly and helpful and food in the restaurant was good. Recommend!"

"The perfect location for all of your Isle of Skye exploration. Nice staff and good clean rooms. My husband and I found the room nice with a beautiful first floor view of the grounds but a little cramped and maybe needing a little refresh. We were told it was an upgrade due to the view, however the room was next to the housekeeping closet which meant it was quite loud early in the morning. The breakfast each morning was lovely. Everyone we met on staff was really helpful and kind."

"Parking situation SO Bad. No help had to drag our badge to and from our room up hill in loose stones. Rooms very small. Good views. Nice breakfast."

"Fantastic, overall. Convenient location; fantastic room (even if a bit of a walk). Our only complaints are relatively minor. There was an issue with the heating in the pool while we were there, which did put a bit of a damper on that side of things. Perhaps a small discount would have been appropriate in that circumstance. The other was that we felt pressured to commit to buying the breakfast when checking in in order to receive the discount. Ultimately, this meant that there were 2 days we...

"This is a great hotel and would stay there again. Only complaint is pictures on expedia do not match the assigned room. Example, we booked a room with a clawfoot bathtub that also had more windows. The front desk staff acknowledged the pictures do not match the rooms. Overall, great property."

"Nice little cabins in a good location on Skye. Very nice staff and great restaurant. Some minor issues with cleanliness (multiple hairs on sofa) and slightly must smell to the apartment likely due to the constant rain and/or dogs staying there previously, it was tolerable but an air freshener would have been nice."
