"When we arrived we were told our room was no longer available due to a 'maintenance issue' so had to book somewhere else at the last minute. The lady that we spoke to was nice and did say they had tried to contact us during the day about the situation. However, checking the message we found in Expedia, it was only sent an hour before we arrived late afternoon. Not helpful when you are driving long distance. Might be a one off but, obviously, have to score the hotel low in this instance."

"Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel."

"Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling."

"I have used this hotel very often in the past But I was shocked how there Standards have dropped. The flood was very poor the service very poor.The lack of singning for there different areas none existent. The room very nice for normal users but for some disabled like me it was a night mare. There was a lack handrails in the shower the shower was fixed and did not detach from the fitted so was to high, Lack of places to put soap bags had to put them on the floor. "Check in was quick and easy. Staff were helpful and polite, even moved me from a room in the inn to an annexe room so I could be away from noise from bar. Also had a very good breakfast which is extra but excellent value for money. Definitely recommend it hotel and breakfast."

"Pleasantly surprised for the price we payed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. Rooms clean and spacious. Although no tea and coffee facilities in the room. These were available in the reception area at no extra cost. I was able to park at the back of the hotel but parking is limited. Will definitely stay here again and recommend Cost of an uber was approx £6 to Newcastle town centre."
