"- The appartment is too far from varenna (you have to walk 30mn on the cliff to reach varenna which is dangerous) and the transport is not really available there, so we had to take taxis (this costed us around 30Euros per day and limited our flexibility as taxis are really rare especially at night) , if you want to visit varenna pay more and prefer an appartment in varenna than perledo - we didn't see the host, he wasn't there in the check-in nor in the check-out... we left cleaning fees on the...

"The location couldn’t have been better. Literally 5 minute walk to everything. The apartment was beautiful and very clean. The only reason I did not give perfect score was the AC was not that great. Especially in the master bedroom we were very uncomfortable all night with the AC set at the lowest. Also, it wasn’t an issue for me, but several in the family were not thrilled about all of the stairs to get up to the unit."

"Tha amount of money we paid on the presidential suite wasn't worth it. The air conditioner was very finicky. It was either too hot or too cold and was very loud. No welcome drink or any welcome stuff for a presidential suite. Nothing spectacular except the view from the terrace. The staff in the dining room and reception/check in were not very welcoming."

"The view is spectacular. Additional instructions on where the unit located in the whole complex. Provide instructions on how to get there from Varenna train station by bus as in our case taxi and Uber were not available at the time, Google maps did not show the bus option, walking with luggage is not an option as it's a long steep and winding road. Tip: take the bus at the station, bus stop located at the end of the parking lot, get off at Perledo-Bologna stop and walk down to the propery."

Wonderful café on ground level that served a great breakfast in addition to sandwiches and pastries. "My initial lower review was based on initial impression of the room and room only. The staff could not have been any better or more attentive. Some of the absolute best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Especially from Alice, Isabella, and Leonardo. I responded to email from Expedia about first impressions. The management staff at Casa du Lac reached out to me for feedback. I met with Guest Experience Manager Alice to explain. She was extremely receptive to my issues with the room and completely understanding. Everything in the room worked perfectly A/C, water temp, etc. The main issues were the proximity to reception area and elevator making it somewhat noisy at times, and the small size of the room with lack of storage and bathroom setup. Essentially I advised her that for the price and the online photos of the hotel our expectations were much higher and the room came up short. She had already investigated changing our room but there was no availability. She completely understood and forwarded my feedback to the General Manager. In response they offered some complimentary beverage and dining options. Their response was extremely generous and genuine. I sensed that they wanted us to thoroughly enjoy our stay as much as possible. We sincerely appreciate all that they did. If I were to rate the staff , it would be the highest possible. They are all top notch. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. I am giving my stay a rating of “Good” as a whole based on the room."

"Fantastically beautiful property and rooms. The private beach is a unique and very relaxing area. The breakfast is phenomenal and the staff is incredibly kind, helpful and sincere. A ten min walk into town center, with no problem. Bellano is much more relaxed and less touristy than Bellagio and Varenna, so you can really relax and just enjoy Italy’s finest. The staff at the hotel helped me call and make reservations at restaurants. You don’t have to have reservations in Bellano but it helps if you have a specific restaurant in mind. Bellano and the property is very safe but taxis are hard to come by. No Uber or Lyft around Lake Como. Order taxi ahead of time if you need it!"
