"There are two Star Hostel nearby. One is real hostel with shared bathroom and toilet, another one is suite that comes with individual toilet and bathroom. Location is good which is just few mins walk from metro. Just be careful that if you are a female, you should walk together with a friend because there are few karaoke lounges out there. Also, it is located near Gwangjang Market, if you go to shopping area at dongdamen, you still need to walk by 15 mins. Room is basic, little bit dated but...

"We saved so much by staying at the Ryu Guest House instead of a Marriot or Holiday Inn. It was like apartment studio living abroad in Sinsadong, Gangnam, Seoul, SK. Everything was walking distance to Metro, Food, Groceries (CU Market), Bars (Kompact Record Bar), Coffee Houses (Milestone) and Garosugil (Trendy Area). We felt very safe as well. "I was really thrown by the desk staff not seeming to expect me, but they still gave me a room and quick tour of the amenities. The minimalist room was as I expected and suitable to my needs, though the bathroom could use a little cleaning/updating. "To start with there wasn’t a clear directional instruction to locate the guesthouse.... the room is really small and you’ve wires and cable all exposed on the counter top. All the cabinets n drawers are being used by owner except for one unit above the fridge. And a flickering light that’s so annoying but I didn’t even bother to complain. Toilet although is bigger than the other room but the toiletries are placed on top of the cistern with a half squeezed tube of toothpaste there ...! And...

"The room was great! I loved how we could wash our clothes and cook food with the small, yet most accommodating kitchen! The only thing I would have to say is that the amenities could have been slightly better as there was less than half a bottle of detergent, hand soap and showering necessities.
