I have stayed in Sesimbra several times and this could not be better located (unless you are driving - in which case there is almost nowhere in Sesimbra that is good!). "We booked the house primarily for two reasons: the outdoor area and the 6-room capacity for our large mixed-age group. Unfortunately, in summer, the house is a 5-bedroom, as one windowless bedroom is locked, and the 2 upstairs bedrooms get oppressively hot.The outdoor areas were great and the host tried to fix the many issues we had during our stay, but fundamentally, the house, beds, furniture, tableware and appliances are old and all areas are cluttered with some cupboards full of personal effects.We had several issues, including a repeatedly flooding toilet, mild electric shocks from the built-in fryer, a non-functioning washing machine (which was replaced), kitchen and bar fridges unable to stay cool, taps coming off, slow wifi with poor coverage, daily bird excrement due to nests in the eaves and unvacuumed bedframes with a suspected bed-bug skeleton.Given the issues we had and, more importantly, the lack of the advertised sixth bedroom, I requested a discount. In response, I received a very personal criticism that we broke items and spent too much time at the house rather than the beach, which resulted in increased electricity and pool chemical bills. Not what I expected given the friendly welcome we had and the 1000 per night price tag."

"Difficult to locate property for check in since porperty called Sea Sound Apartment and not Sesimbra Cliffs. Was only able to locate property after Expedia agent contacted owner and told us the property was located at Sesimbra Cliffs. Once we were able to get to property, person showed us all around and very friendly. Nice ocean and city view. Provided no cooking supplies, only a few spice bottles."

"Just what we wanted, a beautiful base close to wonderful beaches. The village has everything you need, groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee shop etc. Fully equipped villa, with everything you need, including pool towels, always a bonus. The pool works perfectly, small but deep enough for a dip to cool off. Yes there are dogs and chickens nearby, but didn’t bother us, wasn’t continuous. Surprised by the lack of aircon, always take it as a guarantee but even though the temp was mid 30’s, it does cool off at night. Again not a problem for us as we don’t rely on aircon, but might be an issue to others. Wonderful modern house for 4 people, ample of space, pool amazing and great place to base yourselves to explore the area with ease. "

"I took my mum, her husband and my teenage boys. We loved the place, and the location. The pool is a lot bigger than it looks in the photo! Well kept and very clean. Of a very high standard.It would have been nice to have a 2nd sofa for us ro relax on but not a huge issue."
