Nestled in the midst of a park above the town, with unbeatable views and 5-star service, this renovated hotel feels like a hip retreat experience. "When is a resort not a resort? In this case, when it doesn't provide any facilities outside the room. There's a rooftop bar in summer but nothing at other times. Staff were pleasant but breakfast was limited and when we asked for a second cup of coffee we had to pay for it. The room is large but was taken up by 4 double futons and a massive hanging screen for projecting TV/video. We felt it was intended for a large group who wanted to watch DVDs all day. "We stayed at this hotel as it was conveniently placed to pick up rental bikes at the port. Staff were great on check in, and they organised luggage transfer for us. Room was lovely. Breakfast was a set Japanese breakfast, beautifully presented, plus options of yogurt and eggs and fruit.
