A Beautiful View in Shagbark

Cabin with a view 3 king Bedrooms + Loft pool table 3 full Baths (Sleeps 6-10) The cabin has a whole house generator which comes on automatically during a power failure. A Generac whole house generator makes your stay comfortable. Come for the spectacular view! It can be enjoyed from the hot tub dining room or covered porch. only 4 steps from the parking area into the deluxe log cabin in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains.

The first floor has 2 king bedrooms 2 baths - one on-suite full sized washer and dryer in separate laundry room off the hall bath 2 leather couches in great room (one with queen hide-a-bed) 2 seat recliner couch gas fireplace with a timer and LCD flat screen TV w/HD dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The loft above has a pool table arcade game system and futon with linens. The third enclosed king bedroom with TV and DVD player and third bath complete the second floor.

You will find both Keurig and Mr. Coffee style coffee pots some k-cup pods in different flavors creamer pods sugar and sweetener packets also some snacks to start your stay. There is a basket of beach towels for the hot tub hand pump soap at each sink small soap packages paper towels. 2 new toilet paper in each bathroom dish soap and dishwasher pods.

Relax on the long front porch which has a porch swing and rockers for a relaxing visit in the quiet and peace of this woodland log cabin. A long gentle drive up brings you to the ridge with a great view! The log cabin sets on a fairly level area with easy parking for up to 3 cars.

The cabin is only 15 minutes from light #3 on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge and 8 minutes more from there to Dollywood. You will have 4-lane highway to the Pigeon Forge city limits then about 2.5 miles of good county roads to SHAGBARK with paved roads all the way.

The Shagbark Community has a 24/7 manned security gate with a texting system to keep guests aware of safety and helpful community information. You will find 2 common areas available to you at no cost. The meadow pavilion area by the creek has walking trail dog park playground Frisby golf tether ball pavilion with picnic tables and a small putting green. Further along N. Clear Fork past the Community Center is the Shagbark swimming pool and large court with tennis pickle ball corn hole and basketball with equipment provided.

Beautiful cabin with a veiw

We had the best time here, the pictures listed dont do it justice in my personal opinion. It was clean and felt like home. We had encounters with bears on our stay. It was close to town, but also in a peaceful area away from the city noise. We will definitely book again. Communication with the owners always easy.

The cabin is very nice . The only thing I would say negative is the cleaning of the cabin it could be better. I would still rent again the overall experience was good.

Great cabin in an ideal location. The jacuzzi, pool table and pac man game were fun. On the flipside were several maintenence issues that if fixed would have brought my score to a five. Saw three bears while there so be on the lookout. Still had a great stay there.

BEST FRIENDS GET AWAY

We had a party of 6 for a short get away from home (MI & OH). The cabin was perfect for 3 couples with extra space for more. Everything was clean and exactly how it was described. A beautiful view with a bear visit the moment we got out of our car! The sunset was phenominal! It was a perfect choice for us! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us Cathy, we really enjoyed it and made some wonderful memories! Highly recommend!

Beautiful View and SOOO Much More

The perfect cabin for what were looking for. The views were as described. And different from every where on the the wrap around deck. We loved, the hot tub, the video games, the pool table, everything. Cathy was highly responsive, from check in to check out. Including addressing questions we had. Cabin was 10-15 mins from the Pigeon Forge strip yet isolated and in the mountains. If I had a complaint is no blinds in the sunroom but neither of my daughters minded so neither did I. We had a great time and definitely will be back.

Beautiful view!

The cabin had a beautiful view! Plenty of room and plenty for the kids to do. My only hangup with the cabin was that the previous renter didn’t run the dishwasher before leaving. It left us with cleaning up their mess to use the dishes we needed. I guess that’s something the cleaners should have caught. I had a large issue with the “security” at the main gate. They wouldn’t let anyone in till 4pm, had people lined up and down the road, and then proceeded to get hateful to clear the road and get everyone past the gate. I understand rules are rules but they didn’t need to be rude about it.

Nice Cabin

Directions to the cabin were good. We passed thru the gated area with the attendant giving us warning of bears. The cabin was situated in a great location with a tremendous view. Very nice parking. Wrap around deck with a hot tub on one end and swings on the other. The 3 bedrooms were clean and nice. One was an ensuite. Bathrooms were good but lighting was great for men but makeup was a bit more difficult for women in two of the bathrooms. Water pressure was good. The living room television didn't work but all the bedroom tv's were operational. (I notified the owner of this issue.) There was plenty of room inside for everyone. The only downside was that the lighting was not great. There were track lights; however, many of the bulbs were burnt out. The cleaning crew should have replaced them — also notified owner of this. Hopefully, all will be fixed for the follow-on guests. Due to some mold, we did not use the dishwasher. We also notified the owners of this. The cleaning crew seems to do minimal . . . yes, the cabin was clean, but the other issues should have been addressed. They are doing the owner a disservice. BTW: While we were away during the day, a large bear visited the deck and left paw prints. However, we never saw a bear the few days we were there.

Long weekend in the Smokies

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was roomy and very clean! We had plenty of space for 6 adults and a toddler! Lots of thoughtful personal touches you don’t find in most rentals, welcome basket, hand soap, beach towels for hot tub, pack n play in a closet. I would suggest finding the cabin in the daylight because the road to the cabin gets kinda sketchy past the cabin! We missed the cabin on the first trip up and were extremely grateful it was during the day!!! The road to the cabin is just a typical windy mountain road so keep your eyes peeled for the landmarks given in the directions and you will be fine!! We only had 2 full days so we didn’t spend a ton of time at the cabin but it is set up perfectly to relax and hang out with a large group! We had a visitor while we were gone one day! Paw prints all over the door of my son’s truck!!!! So be sure to lock your doors and keep your eyes peeled!!! We will definitely rent with Cathy’s Cabins again ( if her rentals are available! They book quickly and I know why now!)
