Was looking for a house that would work well for our family of 20 including children and grandchildren. This could not have worked out better. Layout and cleanliness are top notch. Identified a few items needing attention upon our arrival and their team was right on it. Location excellent for hiking, tubing and enjoying entertainment parks.
Group of 17 friends stayed here for a long weekend and absolutely loved it! We ended up cooking most meals there and staying in because the place was great and Pigeon Forge was just far enough away to be a hassle planning drivers. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area!
Nice property needs some updates. Downstairs carpet dirty, stoves broken doors, not enough fridge space for a large group, top floor room was hot! Water stops in the shower upstairs. Shared bathrooms for family not couples.
Pros: large decks, beautiful views, responsive host, called for excess trash pick up and someone showed up within a couple of hours (five stars). Comfy mattresses!
The property was really clean upon arrival. Big open windows with lots of light and enough space for a big group. Although I brought my disposable tableware the home was equipped with all kitchen necessities for a large group. Contacting hosts was delightful I was able to get garbage pickup when the cans outside was full which was a plus. Fireplace was not working but they property manager was working on getting that corrected. Hot tubs were a plus! I stayed on the top floor and the shower pressure could be an issue because of the well system. Just make sure no one else is showering and you’ll enjoy your shower! Views were amazing, I would definitely stay here again!
We arrived at Pine Rise in the evening of Aug 1,2024(14 adults ages 50 to 78) the place was clean, comfortable and spacious. The next morning the cooks tripped a breaker that feeds part of the kitchen counter and the fridge so I communicated this and sure enough it wasn’t long before a technician arrived and squared us away.
The tech was super nice, he told me his name but I forget.
We ( ate in) all meals and seemed to have adequate storage space in the refrigerators.
Everyone enjoyed the view and we saw a bear on Saturday and Sunday, our in house hunting guide seemed to think it was the same bear both days.
We packed out Monday morning and everyone had vacated the house by 8:30.
Everyone expressed their satisfaction and heaped many praises upon me for finding such an awesome place to have a sibling get together..
This was an ok place to stay. It had some flaws. One window was duct taped shut and for the winter, even mild it was very cold during the night. The kitchen had doors falling off and very little in the way of pots and pans for the size of the house and occupancy. 2 different areas of flooring were damaged and between the toddlers and the elderly people we were worried about safety. The showers could have had something in them to hold soap or shampoo but that is just something we noted. That being said rooms were adequate and the views were fantastic. The management company was very responsive during their stated hours. It was easy to get to and just about 5 miles from downtown Pigeon Forge. I dont plan on staying here again but we made do for our family Christmas.
Extended family of 15 stayed for a long weekend. House is clean. Could use some maintenance (leaky faucet, worn porch boards, burned out lights)Would stay here again.
Comfortable beds and plenty of room for a big group. We had 20 adults and enjoyed the room to spread out. Especially the 4th floor that was great for group activities. We loved the multiple levels of porches for relaxing and taking in the beautiful views.
The amount of space in this cabin is amazing. We had 20 people stay and it did not feel like it. We had plenty of space to split up if wanted but we were also all able to fit in the common areas when we wanted to be together and it was not cramped in the slightest. It was very clean and the hot tubs were a great addition. Communication from the company was outstanding and we had zero issues or complaints. I would definitely book with them again.
We really enjoyed it. Beautiful cabin and amazing view. Met all of our needs and expectations. Only complaints were 4th floor temperature was warm. Heat pump didn’t seem to be working up there but window AC unit helped. And the water pressure would drop and faucets would stop working in the middle of a shower in the 4th floor shower.
The cabin is beautiful. It is well- stocked with dishes, utensils, towels, toiletries, etc. The beds are very comfortable. Unfortunately, the house is not well maintained. The house has a broken window in one of bedrooms that is has been taped, the window in the game room has a gap at the top of window (large enough for bugs, lizards, snakes, etc. to climb through), broken dining room chair, broken table on top deck, several bedroom lamps did not work, broken theater chair, refrigerator constantly leaks water onto floor, terrible water pressure (shower head sporadically shuts off while taking shower), loose shower handle, broken blinds throughout house, missing blind, and dirty comforter, the dart game in the game room does not work. I did report issues to AvantStay. A worker came by the house to switch out comforter and other issues were not address. Also, I was refunded 150 (not even 5% of what we paid to rent the home) for the inconvenience. I definitely would not rent this house again.
"I would hate to have future guests have a negative view"~Property Mgmt
I stayed with several of my friends, having a healing time away. For this property, we paid top dollar for our stay and expected it to be excellent. It was NOT.
So, we had a leak in one of our bedrooms. The mattress was soaked. Property Mgmt sent workers over to fix it, which they could not. They left with a drip (one drop very eight seconds) that lasted throughout the night. The mattress was unusable and sheets and bedding were soaked.
While they were there, the refrigerator started leaking. Out came maintenance man #3. Couldnt fix that, either. So, we had towels on the kitchen floor for the entire stay.
We got up the following morning, used the overn for the first time, and during preheat, it caught on fire. Lucky for us, one of our folks is a fire fighter. Good times.
There were cigarette butts all over the property. Given the threat of a $2,500 fine, my folks (none of whom smoke) picked up other peoples cigarette butts to avoid a possible fine.
Neighbors up the hill partied late into the night, with music blaring. So much for a healing time of relaxation.
Well, at least we have hottubs, right? No. One shot black junk into the water. The other was cold. (We did, however, get in it the following night).
The posting reported parking at 4 spots. For 22 people? We called after spending hours trying to find alternatives to parking and carpooling, only to learn that it was not a huge deal for us to park on the street.
Rooms were much smaller than pictured.
There were smaller issues like screws falling out of the chairs, electrical plugs on the floor that didnt work (they were just holes) and trash cans were at a premium. They were so limited. For the number of people this place held, there were too few bathrooms. Water pressure was extremely low, with teh top floor not able to get showers timely.
Here is the kicker: I notified property mgmt (madeline from Avantstay) and told her these issues. Her concern? Not wanting future renters to to have a poor view of the property. Said she was sorry and will get these issues fixed before the next renters. No discount. No credit. Nothing.
I highly suggest finding someplace else to stay.
