The check-in policy was easy but they made us wait until after 4 pm (4:15) to get our code, and we were waiting 30 minutes prior. All they kept telling us is they was waiting on the release from housekeeping. The grill was broken, the bees was ridiculous which made it had to sit on the decks. One of the table chairs was broken. The speaker for the movie theater was not working properly.
The children loved the game room. It was spacious enough for us all.
Had a great trip and loved the cabin we stayed in. It fit our 14 people perfectly, any more than that would’ve been too tight. The location was a great balance of being accessible to everything but also the feel of being in the woods. Thanks for a great stay!
The cabin was clean and well stocked with essentials. The theater/ pool table / play area was nice and a hit for the kids / teenagers in the group. Swimming pool was 5 min walking distance. The view from the balcony was a bit blocked by trees, so couldn’t get a great wide view of the mountains. And the property is 30+ min away from Gatlingburg where many activities/ restaurants are.
My entire family of 18 stayed at this cabin for a week. Ages ranged from 72 to 2 years old. The first floor main bedroom was perfect for my elderly mom since she can’t navigate stairs easily. Having 2 huge refrigerators was a game changer! Also 2 dining room tables. We loved the deck with the fire pit and the kids enjoyed making s’mores one night. We had daily visitors of 4 bear cubs with their mama bear. We kept our distance but were able to get some cool pictures and videos. We had only minor needs during our stay (trash pick up and new propane tank for fire pit.) Both resolved immediately and satisfactory. The lowest level of this cabin is amazing! Game room, theater room kept the kids occupied. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Unclean cabin
We stayed in this cabin for 3 nights, and the moment you walk in the cabin the place appears to be clean but this was indeed not the case whatsoever. The house was filthy. I’m not sure why we are being charge a cleaning fee because I have a list of items that needed to be addressed. There was dusk all over the house. Under all the beds was nasty and was not sweep or vacuumed. The refrigerators were nasty as well. The restrooms trash bin was empty but the nasty on the outside. The sleeper sofa beds was disgusting. They did not clean the inside of them at all. Overall, the cabin was not up to my standard for cleanliness. Especially during COVID era. There was also a leakage problems from the restrooms. We reported it to the rental property and they asked if someone was showering above. This did not fix the situation. We reported this twice because the next day, the other room bed was soaking wet from the leaking of the upper floor bathroom and no one was a showering. I would not recommend this place to my friends. But I would come back to the area and rent somewhere else.

Several Issues with Property
This is our 3rd visit to the area, but the first with this property management company. There were 14 people staying in our cabin ages 11-64. While the cabin itself is very nice and offered what we needed, unfortunately, we experienced several issues during our stay.
1. Upon arrival, the home was not clean. There was dirt and food on the floor (tomato and crumbs), dried liquid on the ceiling above the dining room table, and the floors looked as if they had not been swept or mopped in some time. There was a massive amount of dust bunnies in several rooms.
2. The dryer handle is broken and replaced with a coat hanger which sliced the finger of one of our guests
3. The bathroom door on the 2nd floor does not shut
4. There were dirty dishes in the cabinet
5. There is a mouse (approx 6 inches) in the house on the second floor. We attempted to catch it, but were unsuccessful. (I don’t blame the management company for this as it’s cold outside and mice are looking for warmth, but I thought it was important they know)
I brought these issues to the property management’s attention prior to our final day and asked how they would like to compensate us for the troubles we had. I was told that we did not give them an opportunity to correct the issues so no reimbursement of any kind would be offered.
When renting a cabin, I expect the home to be cleaned before our arrival with working appliances in the home. Again, the home is lovely, but I expected more from the management co.
My family drove 10 hours to be told our cabin wasn't ready for another 2 hours and they would call when it's ready they never called. We paid more to have a game room and the indoor pool, however the pool was close the whole week we were there and the game room was missing balls for the pool table and the Foosball table. So we didn't get to enjoy anything we paid extra for.
Cabin was great with essentials and entertainment! Beautiful view and the game room and hot tubs were a huge hit! Dishwasher top rack broken and annoying when loading dishes
Great time and first time in the area. Cabin was nice with plenty of room for everyone. Kids enjoyed game room in the evening. Good location, close to everything.

The Views Weren't That Amazing
While Smoky Ridge Lodge was a stand-alone cabin, it was within spitting distance of its neighbor. The whole resort was reminiscent of a condo development. Sleeping accommodations were more than satisfactory and the layout despite 3 really steep staircases was good, but there was no outside areas other than the road in which children could play. The drop off the back deck was dizzying.
The towels were few and were more like a lady's handkerchief than something with which someone was expected to dry oneself after a shower. There were only two wine glasses and very few tumblers for a cabin which can sleep 20! The doors were squeaky and the fire feature was out of propane when we arrived. Fortunately, the maintenance person who arrived on Christmas Eve was extremely nice and fixed both issues.
A welcome packet describing local attractions and restaurants would have been very nice.
Given the cost of a four day stay I do not think it justified the value provided.
Overall, the place was great. The pictures show everything exactly right. The only issues we had were with the TV (not having ESPN) and a chair was broken. Other that that, it was a great spot for a group of 14 men.
The house was great and well equipped and we had a wonderful time, however the claimed mountain view was VERY misleading. The photos showing the mountains were either old before trees had grown or taken in the winter when the trees were barren. The house was fantastic, there just isn’t a view.

Beautiful spacious cabin!
This cabin is amazing! My family group of 20 had more than enough space! Loved that there was a master on the main entry level with the kitchen so that we didn't have to worry about getting my 76 yr old mom up and down stairs! The kids loved the game room, their favorite was the basketball game!
Only con was the leaky bathrooms! On our 2nd day there the kids ran up stairs screaming that the game room was flooding!! Luckily it was only a minor leak from the 3rd floor bathroom down into the game room. Management sent someone out to fix it! He stated that it was either a leak from the shower or toilet! If that problem is truly fixed then this cabin is good to go!! I would most definitely recommend it for a large family!
