Absolutely love the cabin. Amazing views and everything was exactly as pictured. Owner was very friendly and sent thorough instructions and details for the stay. Would definitely rent again.
Our host was amazing—I never once needed to reach out because all correspondence was incredibly detailed and timely. The property itself was outstanding. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the cabin was in pristine condition upon arrival. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Definitely one of the best cabins my family has vacationed in over the years. The floor plan is well thought out and the game room was full of fun activities. We found ourselves hanging out on the large porch a lot since the temperature was so pleasant and the view was stunning. We had bunnies in the yard each evening and even had a mama bear with three cubs visit.
The cabin is cozy and the owners are extremely nice! We spotted a momma bear with her cubs twice during our stay (very cool if you’re inside, a bit scary if you’re climbing up the walkway). Most of the drive up to the cabin is easy, but the driveway is definitely steep. Overall our group of adults and kids loved our stay and never had a boring moment
We made so many memories at this cabin. We were greeted by and got to witness a Momma bear teach her twin cubs to play, climb, and eat. The driveway is steep but fun to have your kids race up to get tired!
The home is wonderful, spacious, and quiet. While there are many stairs to get to the house, it is manageable. Far enough to relax yet close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The folks in Wears Valley are very hospitable!
Very nice home and lots of space! Adult men love loved game room and TV for Saturday and Sunday Football. Beautiful views and so relaxing! The stairs were definitely a challenge!!! We enjoyed our time
The view from this cabin is beautiful. The cabin itself is beautiful, and the game room was a lot of fun. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get to downtown Gatlinburg. We enjoyed the seclusion of the location. I already miss my morning coffee on the porch swing.
Beautiful cabin and view! If you want a secluded cabin, high up with awesome views I 100% recommend a stay here! Host was very informative, responsive, and constantly offered support for anything needed. Even after we checked out and realised one of the kids left their tablet, host was kind enough to retrieve the tablet and ship back to is. Highly highly recommended stay.
The cabin was exactly as described. It had everything we needed for our stay, beds were comfy, and there was plenty to keep our kiddos busy while we relaxed. The only down side was the water pressure wasn’t the best but I do not fault the host. The driveway was intimidating but we were able to fit two SUVs. The stairs are not terrible and manageable- just take your time if you have physical issues etc.
We had 3 father/son duos that stayed at the property. All of the sons recently graduated high school and are getting ready for college so we decided to take a weekend golf trip. The property was great. Plenty of games downstairs for the boys. The view was amazing. Only downside was the hot tub needs some attention so I gave a 4 star on cleanliness. Everything was awesome!
The property is beautiful and well-maintained. It is on the side of a mountain with spectacular views. The roads to the cabin are winding as they climb the mountain but they are well-maintained and easy to maneuver, even in a driving thunderstorm.
The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, clean, and has plenty to occupy the attention of adults and children. Ron and Katia also have a membership to a members-only pool about 10 minutes away...much appreciated during the severe heatwave we experienced while visiting.
The three bedrooms and two bed loft were very comfortable and the four bathrooms clean, functional, and more than adequate.
Ron was very responsive and easy to work with on the few questions we had. He was very pleasant and professional.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.
This family of 9 (6-73yo) enjoyed this house. The space is amazing. Two masters with attached bath, bath in common area, plus one in downstairs. Loft bedroom was fun. Game room was a LOT of fun. Beautiful views including sunrise/set. Hot tub great. Close enough to attractions (+/- 30 min). Beds/bedding comfortable. Bathrooms & bedrooms clean. Cleanliness needs improving in places. Floor downstairs was sticky, baby bottle & vacuum sitting out. Kitchen looked very clean but inside cabinets/drawes was crumbly & greasy, as were utensils. We ended up washing everything we used. Towels are adequate, but bring your own kitchen wash rags, scrubbie, any cleaning supplies you want, dish & dishwasher soap, toilet paper, paper towel, foil, ziplock bags etc. There are very small amounts of essential supplies (tp) but nothing else. No extra pillows, towels etc. overall a good experience.
This is located a short drive from main attractions which makes it just remote enough to not see and hear the town yet close enough to be anywhere in 15 -20 minutes. It is not in a community which we liked because it was private. Could barely see neighbors in the spring.
Cabin was clean and has a great view. Game room was a nice addition on rainy days. Ron (owner) was easy to communicate with and checked in to make sure everything was ok even letting us know of severe weather approaching and checking in afterwards.
There are a lot of steps, like 70 from parking to upper deck. FYI for elderly and toddlers, its doable and room to rest if you struggle with steps like me. Driveway and road are steep but It's manageable though and worth it for a clean and maintained cabin. We had one SUV with a short trailer and had room to park and turn around after we unhooked. Parking and steps are well lit at night.
We stayed 7 days and enjoyed it. 5 people. No issues. Would deal with Ron again.
Would stay again. Beautiful views and well stocked with supplies. The property owner definitely isn’t joking about the steps being a bit of a workout. If you have a lot of luggage be prepared for a bit of a workout. Would love to see a bit of work done on the steps as the concrete is loose and missing. The listing says that several vehicles can fit in the parking area but if you aren’t familiar with mountain driving or STEEP drives/roads backing down that drive if there were multiple vehicles would make you very uncomfortable. The drive to the location is good until the last about half mile and then it gets a bit sketchy. The house itself was comfortable and had lots of amenities. Overall it was sanitary clean but could use a good deep clean. It’s definitely a cabin in the woods, not super luxury. With all of that said, we would definitely stay again if we were allowed. If you are mentally prepared for those few things I think you would have a wonderful stay. Best view of the mountains we have had in a while and we stay several times a year. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your property and I hope you found we took good care of it!
This cabin was the perfect setting for a family getaway. Husband I and rented the cabin for us, our 3 adult children, and their families. Beautiful large porch with rockers and swings allowed opportunities to relax and enjoy the beautiful Fall. The views from the cabin are absolutely amazing! The cabin has 3 levels which allowed everyone to spend some time alone when desired. This was important to us as we we traveled with our young adult daughter who has autism. Lower game room level is very large and we were able to put a queen sized air mattress on the floor there as well. We did not use the hot tub so I cannot review on that. One of our adult kids got to see a bear traveling up to the cabin on our last full day. Easy travel to all of the places we wanted to visit but far away enough to truly feel "away from it all". We traveled with 3 large cars and the parking was adequate for all vehicles. There are a lot of stairs and a steep driveway. This is well described in the description of the property and we were prepared for that. Host was very receptive to all questions that we had and replied within minutes when we sent a message. Kitchen appeared to have basic items for cooking (including baking sheets for the toddler's chicken nuggets, lol). Plenty of towels for all guests and there is a washer and dryer if, like us, you want to keep up with the laundry, and not return home to that. We truly recommend this property and hope to be able to return in the future.
Ron was really great with communication and assisting us with things in the cabin. The day we checked out, there was ice and he helped with that as well and was very nice. The house was clean and had everything we needed! Great hosting!
