"Our stay was a weekend getaway for our 6th anniversary. The cabin was so cozy! It had everything we needed! We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. We cooked in the indoor and outdoor kitchen. We used the grill AND pizza oven! The are several ponds on the property full of frogs and fish. There was food available to feed to fish. There were so many Harry Potter touches in the cabinet. The keys in the ceiling were perfect! The large quilt was super comfy. 10/10 recommend!"

Our kids adored the game room, and we all loved utilizing the fire pit and hot tub in the evenings. We would love to come back in the summer to get to experience all the lake has to offer!"

"My family and I have stayed 3 times at the lake house over the past 2 years. The home is consistently clean. The host is quick to respond and very accommodating! One of our favorite things about The Hickory Hideaway is the open floor plan, wonderful lake view, and well stocked kitchen. We plan to return!"

"This was truly one of the nicest experiences we have had. We stayed here for my son’s 16th birthday to spend time with family. The host had cupcakes and a happy birthday sign. This was the cleanest/fully stocked home we have stayed in. Our family had fun kayaking and relaxing. Really great time!"

"This was our first Vrbo so we were nervous, but the venue was beautiful and clean and everything we needed. We were attending a wedding nearby so wanted something convenient but could house us. It did not disappoint. We took several walks to the creek and enjoyed being able to spend time together but also have our separate spaces. Our phones didn’t have service there but the WiFi was excellent and the owner responded in a reasonable time with a couple questions we had. "

"The house was beautifully decorated, extremely clean and very comfortable. Linda, our host, was amazing! She was quick to respond the two times I had questions and added special touches to our stay. Sitting outside in the evening, right next to the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. Downtown Winchester is just up the street. I highly recommend this property and hope to go back."

"Communication w/mgnt company reps was top notch! Accomodations was great! Tims Ford Lake water is so clean compared to where we are from (Tenn. River area). We especially liked the home theater in evenings...picture and sound was awesome! Foosball, ping pong, shuffleboard games were in great shape and fun. The view was awesome! We wanted a place we could all be together (ha, we travel in a herd) and wanted a place where we would not disturb anyone as we love our music, competitive games (ha). This place was PERFECT! "Cute house! Perfect for 3 and wonderful location! Needs a good deep cleaning to clear spider webs, dust and scuff marks throughout. But those are very minor. Would definitely recommend and hope to rent it again!"

Beautiful area and would highly recommend you bring or rent a boat during your stay. The steps from the water/dock back up to the house are visually overwhelming but built very sturdy and safe with plenty of landings to stop and admire the surroundings."

This cottage emulates what is so special about Sewanee….a chance to get away from the fast paced world and slow down to enjoy God’s creation, with belived family and friends. It was great for our daughter (Sewanee 2020 alum) to be able to get back on the mountain with college friends and this location made it easy for us to enjoy all of the wedding festivities and “walk home”."

"I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. The online description is accurate but it does not describe how staying there makes you feel. Yes it is spacious, has a well equipped kitchen, a sauna, hot tub, plunge pool and is clean; but the thoughtful details given to create each space impart multiple surprise moments of joy and comfort. I will never forget the awe of waking up in the mornings, surrounded by lush green trees. A luxurious treehouse!"
