"Here is a more balanced version that still explains the issues without sounding too harsh: For a budget 3-star Microtel hotel, I did not expect anything fancy, but there were still a few things that could be improved. The breakfast was very basic, so I would not count on it as a full real breakfast. The room also had an unpleasant old smell when I walked in, which made it feel less comfortable. Some parts of the room looked like they had been repaired quickly or not maintained very well, and a few things felt worn or close to needing replacement. Overall, it was acceptable for a cheap budget hotel, but the room could use better maintenance, fresher smell, and some updates to make the stay more comfortable."

"I had high hopes for this site but was disappointed. They only appear to freshen up the room on their schedule, placard was ignored. Had to request towels a few times and all they had was crappy pool towels. Pool wasn’t maintained with sand and dirt in the bottom. Moldy caulk around the tub, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. For one of the few option in this town for accommodations you’d think they’d have a nicer place. On the up side, it was quiet, bed was comfortable. Lastly, I booked through Expedia and ended up being charged more than if I’d booked directly which wasn’t worth the $50/night up charge Expedia tacked on."

"Our stay went well, however after checkout we discovered one of our shirts was left at the hotel. Called front desk to ask if it had been reported/turned in and they stated they were “unable to check until the current occupant checked out”. I asked if the person responsible for cleaning room 303 on 6/10 reported any unattended items left and they said “they could find something and not say anything, best to call back on Monday” (almost a week after our stay). Their staff is stealing items from guests, terrible way to end an overall decent stay. Will not return or recommend. Photo of stolen item provided."

"The place had so many great little places for everybody to sleep and have privacy. The outside was a little lacking but mainly because it had several platforms- instead of one primary location. The porch off the kitchen doesn't lead down to the water and had a table and chairs on that level. To get to the water you had to go down the stairs to the basement and through one of the "bedrooms" at that point it was steps down to ground to cross over to the driveway to walk down to the water. This was a very steep incline for any older members of the group. I think with a little tux and a lot of thought about the outside- this would be an awesome place to stay. The outside not being really hang-out-able really saved us because we would definitely have been too loud for the neighborhood!!!! The neighborhood was great- I walked every morning and it was safe and peaceful. Daniel was great and stayed in contact with me the whole time. If your primary reason for renting is hanging out together in a large, nice place- this is a 10/10."

"We had a great stay at this beautiful home near the lake. The home was as pictured and had the basics to get us going. The lake was very peaceful and the dock set up was perfect. Communication with the host was good, they helped us work through a couple issues with check in. The golf cart was a highlight and made going back and forth to the lake easy! I highly recommend this lake home. "
