"This motel definitely has a vintage feel, though it has recently undergone some tasteful updates. While the room had a slight musty odor, it was otherwise very clean, and the front desk staff were both attentive and friendly. This appears to be the only lodging available in Lynchburg, so if you want to stay overnight after visiting the Jack Daniel's attractions, this is your best option. I appreciated the comfortable bed and the nice furnishings in the room."

"First off, this place is VERY charming. I love how they have it decorated as well. The few things I wanted to bring to people's attention is that if you park until the tree (walnut I believe) in the parking area, when they drop, they WILL dent your vehicle. So if you have a rental car, I'd advise you to park strategically. Word to the wise....I understand this is nature and the tree is beautiful! Just understand you may get dents from the nuts if you park under it and it's something to be aware of. Also, the room I stayed in (Lyon Room) was VERY cold at night. Of course, this is an older home, so that is expected from the windows. Pack your fuzzy PJ's! The staff when I did interact with them were very kind. However the sheets in my room did have some hair on them, not sure from what or who, but I shouldn't have to be brushing hair off of sheets that isn't mine. Other than those few things, it is very conveniently located downtown and there are many great food places to visit close by."

"Perfect for gathering with friends. Very clean, comfy beds and amazing view. We loved having a screened porch to drink our morning coffee, have afternoon naps on the big bed swing and watch the sunset from.So much space to park, unload and store all of our stuff for the week! Will note the fridge is pretty small. Thankfully, you're super close to town if you need to run out for anything. Really appreciated that the backyard was fenced for peace of mind with our littlest kids! The neighborhood was also quiet and felt safe. The house is older (sticky doors and slightly musky basement) but beautifully updated. We had no issues with it. Host was very freindly, helpful and easy to get in touch with."
