"Breakfast was excellent very good choice.The mattress in the room needs to be removed to a skip. The room was dated and so was the dust in the room.the bar and staff were also very good.i would stay again but in the main castle and knot the count yard."

"I drove to the 1st postcode that I was sent but it turned out to be 4 miles from the actual property. In short 2 different postcodes were sent in separate emails. The emails did not state that the property would be shared. The young man in the other room was polite enough but I would’ve preferred to know it was shared when booking it. The door to my bedroom didn’t sit flush to lock it with the code. It was really difficult locking the door when I was going out and used up valuable time. The bed was unstable too."

"Staff were lovely and welcoming. We were expecting a basic room but it was a bit too small and basic. Was clean enough but not amazing, bright yellow stains all on the floor near the toilet. Could hear everything from the pub below - noisier than other pubs we have stayed in. "

"The property was lovely, quiet and out of the way, easy to find, the hosts were in the end of the phone when needed, in my case as few times, the WiFi was spot on, parking is private and in front of the property, thoroughly enjoyable stay. "

"The barn is situated on a family farm with the owner, Wendy, living in a neighbouring property. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by Wendy, a lovely welcome pack with cake, biscuits and fudge and even treats for our dog. Nothing is too much trouble and the cottage is equipped with all you could need and more. Although there were only two of us when we travelled, it is very spacious and would be ideal for a larger family with ample parking right outside and a lovely courtyard garden area."

"The house is a large space that could suit big groups, but we encountered several significant issues.The main one was that the property hadn’t been prepared for our arrival. Although we were initially delayed by an incorrect key-box code, this became minor once inside: 2 bedrooms were unassembled, furniture was stacked from floor to ceiling in one room, and the kitchen was missing basic essentials for our group of 8 (no bowls, 2 cups).Our biggest concern was safety. The staircase bannisters had been removed and replaced with rough plywood with exposed nails, which felt unsafe - especially with children. The property also had visible damage and didn’t resemble the photos. A neighbour mentioned there had been an incident with a previous occupant the day before our arrival, which explained the condition, but none of this had been communicated to us.Although a partial refund was issued, the property was unfortunately not ready or fully safe for the duration of our stay. We have since been informed that a 'calendar block' was removed in error, allowing our booking to proceed when it should not have. Rather than being transparent about this (bearing in mind we booked 8 weeks in advance) the agency rushed the necessary repairs, leaving parts of the home incomplete and unsafe. This created some serious issues for us, and we would therefore advise caution before making booking here. Note - parking outside is permit-only, although the agent did offer to cover any tickets."
