"Vindolanda is a stylish crofters cottage that has been thoughtfully and comfortably renovated. It is well equipped and has everything you need. "From our arrival through to our departure, The Birdhouse surpassed our expectations. It's beautifully designed and it's in an amazing location. Kristen and Gregor are perfect hosts, super friendly and helpful. There are lots of stunning walks and scenery to explore in Applecross Bay. "Booked this pretty much last minute. The photos do not do this property much justice. The location and views are stunning. Being covid aware at the moment, the property was spotlessly clean and hand sanitisers provided. The furnishings all modern and comfortable. The owner was very responsive to a couple of queries we had Some lovely local walks on the doorstep and easy access to Skye. "A lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The cottage had all we needed. Very comfortable beds. The location was perfect for us. Good walks around Loch Long. A short drive into Dornie and lots of other activities and walks. Nice pub and cafes in Dornie. Not far from the Skye Bridge. We did lots of exploring and had a great holiday."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage suited our needs, and we appreciated the amenities in the cottage, including the laundry, kitchen and shower facilities. The setting is lovely and quiet, and we enjoyed walking and exploring the village, the stunning views, and finding sea glass by the shore. It definitely suited our budget as we were able to drive into the Isle of Skye, spend the day, and drive back to the cottage for the night, The cottage is also close to Eilean Donan castle...
