Motels in Shimane Prefecture

Rooms were spacious and clean. Onsen had a nice view. Dinner was delightful. Hotel was nicely decorated and had a nice feel about it. All staff wqs eager to help or assist with any requests

Best hotel breakfast ever!

Just stayed one night with my family and we didn’t want to leave. The house is over 100 years old but has modern conveniences and was very clean and comfortable. The futon beds were perfect. The AC was strong. And best of all was the food. Dinner was a 12-13 course omakase with fish we’ve never tasted, like blowfish. Very clean, very friendly and various free services provided including free late night soba and ice cream by the onsen. It was a quick one night stay for us so we almost felt bad that we weren't spending more time there since it was so nice.

Clean room, good onsen but the color of the room wear was depending on the floor you stay and that was odd.

The rooms was spotless, the staff endlessly helpful, the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. The public and private baths are the perfect temperature as well. Lastly, the location that is essentially on top of Izumo-taisha - which you should absolutely visit - and local shops. 10/10 I will be staying here in the future.

This is probably one of the best experiences that I have had whilst travelling. Don't be misled by the "hostel" designation of this guest house - it is really a boutique, luxury residence in the heart of Daikon Island. First and foremost, the guesthouse owner, who speaks very good English, was very kind and drove me around the whole day. Daiwa Roynet is one of my favorite hotels in Japan. Excellent staff and spacious rooms

What a wonderful stay, this location is off the beaten path for foreigners but it is such a hidden gem. It had an onsen, free drinks within a time limit, restaurant on premise, a show by performers every night, a beautiful garden and yukatas to borrow. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. Also while they do offer a shuttle, and bikes to rent, please make sure to inform them so they can be ready to take you/accomodare you.
