"Had a fantastic peaceful solo stay at this elegant hotel on the edge of Lake Windermere, staff were friendly and welcoming especially Pippa who made me feel comfortable as an older single female. The location is fantastic, and you can ditch the car and catch the boat over to Bowness, or you can chill out in the lovely pool and spa area, I hope to return."

"What a beautiful place Storrs Hall is. And not just because of the wonderful historic building set in an incredible location, the high standard of furnishings and cleanliness, but also because of the high quality of service and attentiveness that every member of staff provides. From the check in experience, the bar, the Bistro and breakfast, everyone couldn’t have been more polite or helpful. And speaking of food, wow! We ate in the bistro, and the food was stunning, and very reasonably priced (IMO). Breakfast the next morning was also such a high quality treat. I have nothing but positive things to say about our stay at the hotel. "

"From the moment we arrived to the moments we left, the staff was helpful friendly. The location is beautiful. The drinks are priced reasonably the food (breakfast) was wonderful. "Despite being an old building and in need of some repairs we found the hotel to be very comfortable. Our room had been updated and was lovely. Staff were very good, helpful, friendly and infinately patient despite being very busy. (3 coach parties in all week, as well as other bookings). Food was very good quality and the chefs pleasant and helpful. Will being going again soon. "
