"PUBLIC is a very hip hotel with very nice amenities and a seemingly great following. Lots always going on in the common areas. Great juice bar and trippy escalator experience upon entering the foyer. The beds are incredibly comfy!! Who knew that an on/off button in the generous shower stall (great water pressure) was what my life was missing. Great location steps away from 2nd Avenue subway and a well-appointed Whole Foods. Really enjoyed our stay here!"

"This is a great spot - well curated decor and nice staff. The food and 24/7 options are really limited. There is a breakfast you can pay for but it isn't worth the price. You can walk 2 blocks into SOHO and find a cute cafe for less. No coffee or tea for free, you have to either buy the breakfast or buy your own coffee. The rooms are pods. They are way too small for 2 people imo. Very well curated and cute though so if you're not planning to be in your room much it's a great option. Overall great stay, loved being able to walk everywhere and the rooftop!"

"Going to the hotel at night was a little scary. Maybe if there is a better intro it won't look like a "should I go in or not". My friends were worried and sat will you be alright ...Put flowers outside or something. neon lit DAYS IN sign. Put something on the wall of reception. Looked like a prison with the guy glassed in there ... I prayed went on to my room. Woke and saw woman there and felt a more safe. room for breakfast nice and clean as my room. Thank you for allowing me to share. Ms bt"

"The gentleman at the front desk was helpful, the space was quaint and had vintage charm. Our conjoined room had a small apartment kitchen, and full bathroom. The gentleman was sure to not book anyone for the other half of the conjoined room so we would have privacy. The room had a convenient safe for us to use when we were away from the room. Some things in the building could use updating, but for the unbeatable price, this spot is definitely worth it."
