"Our group of two couples spent a week in a villa on the beach side of the Umaya Resort and absolutely loved it. The unit was nicely appointed and truthfully feet away from the Caribbean Sea. Anytime we had a concern they were very prompt to respond. They transferred us to and from the Placencia Airport free of charge. While there we ordered dinner through the Fyah Beach Bar, pizza at Don Tonito's and breakfast in their Casa de Maiz restaurant. All were very delicious food. We also booked two of our excursions through them with great communication from them. The only thing we would recommend for them to make improvements on would be to provide dish cloths, towels and pot holders in the kitchen. We will absolutely book our next Belize vacation at the Umaya Beach Resort!"

"Location was amazing with our own private beach and pool yet a short drive from the more popular areas including Maya Beach and Placencia Village (about 25 minutes drive with sleeping policemen factored in). The kitchen seemed well-equipped although we mostly ate out (or enjoyed snacks and leftovers). Really loved our time in Belize. Dinners at Maya Beach Bistro were amazing as was our special Valentines dinner at Sterling’s. We loved afternoons at Barefoot Beach Bar and I would be remiss without mentioning The Flying Pig that we thankfully discovered in time to enjoy the Super Bowl. We feel like the stars aligned when we happened to find this place available for a perfect week (for us) in February. If it shows up as available for you, jump on the chance to make Casa de la Vista your home in Belize. "Great place to stay and staff is amazing"

"It is an older hotel, so that was a bit of a shocker for us at first. But the location was great and after the receptionist changed our rooms we were quite happy, we got a bigger room with a smaller shower, (not to small) and shady outside sitting area, we were quite happy. The room and bathroom were clean, and because we only stayed 2 days we did not need the room-service. They did bring beach towels and emptied garbage. The breakfast was good and plenty, People lovely, and a superb location. "

"Fabulous staff all around but especially Liz, she was extremely helpful with everything and was happy to help. Rooms were comfortable and clean, food was great and definitely suggest the pineapple cheesecake for dessert. Resort was clean and beautiful. We will absolutely be returning to the resort in the future. Thanks for everything we had a wonderful time."
