"We had three nights at the Herriot and it was a lovely place to stay. The staff are amazing and everything just seems to work. We stayed in the Herriot House just next door in a family room which had more than enough room for two. A very relaxing stay. We’ll be back for sure."

"Lovely room overlooking the canal. We walked into the town along the towpath & later enjoyed drinks after dinnerin the bar. Staff very helpful. Very dog friendly- they set up breakfast in the morning for us in the bar area so could stay with our dog."

"This is the 3rd time staying at the Gamekeepers and we have never been disappointed, great rooms which are clean and tidy, coffee machine a great touch. The food in the restaurant is great, and the added bonus of the use of the Spa is brilliant, we'll be back again early in the new year"

"Extremely easy to locate the hotel using the postcode given. We arrived in Skipton rather early and parked in the long stay car park round the back which is £8.10 for 9 hours but free from 6pm- 9am. There is free parking on the side road next to the hotel if you're lucky enough to secure a space. We had a lovely walk round Skipton centre - it's full of independent shops selling gifts, coffee, cakes and fish to name but a few. Great to see also lots of little pubs and banks/ building societies still going strong. We were able to check in earlier than 3pm and our room ( number 2) was absolutely perfect for our overnight comfort. Our curry cruise that evening was super but it was surpassed by the amazing full english breakfast at The Railway. We look forward to our next visit to Skipton and another stay in this lovely inn. Thankyou ❤️"

"Superb stay as usual (3rd stay in the last 2 years). Really quiet location, just minutes from a food store, comfortable little cottage, beautifully renovated and presented. Everything you need. Lots of walks from the door."
