"This is a great property in an annex of the main house. Barry and his wife have really taken great care with the decoration and presentation of the property. Very spacious and met all expectations, nice bathroom with toothpaste, razor, deodorant, soap and shampoo all available. Similarly the new kitchen was well stocked with bread, butter, jam and eggs, tea, coffee and milk, not to mention the red and white wine and bottles of beer. "Stayed 3 nights mid week to the sat morning. Warm friendly welcome, breakfast was great spoilt for choice. Had eve ing meal there on 1st night theres not much choice but was ok plenty of other local places to eat but was convienant for 1st night. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Parking was good although charged at 13 a day they only charged us for 1 day as i think its mainly charged to discourage non guests from parking. There is limited free parking on the road outside to. Will def stay again if we ever return to blackpool but will prob now choose a hilton over our other usual hotels elswhere."

"The hotel stay itself was fab. It’s in a fantastic location and the room was clean and comfortable, though the mattress was very soft and nearly rolled off a couple of times with the edges being even softer. No discount for the car park even though the website mentions registering the registration at the desk. Very poor communication from the hotel itself. We received a message which said ‘urgent’ and to check in online, which we’ve never had to do in the past. Worried it was a scam (because there was a fee to do so) I messaged the hotel directly - and through Hotels.com - and instead of receiving a reply, I just kept getting the same ‘urgent’ message about checking in online. This left me feeling worried then that my original booking wasn’t genuine and I stood in the check-in queue on our day of arrival half convinced the booking didn’t exist. Luckily, all was fine but the worry could easily have been avoided if only the hotel had sent a response to my messages instead of a generic automated response telling me checking in online was ‘urgent’ when, in fact, I could simply check in at the hotel as I have always done."

"The staff are the stars at the Imperial, as they were outstanding. We were disappointed with breakfast, which was lukewarm, with fried eggs straight from the kitchen barely warm. The Imperial is like an old duchess, who needs some TLC. However, the room was superb, except for the shower. My husband had to use a toothbrush handle to turn it on and off. Had I been on my own, I would have had to ask someone to turn the shower on, as I didn’t have the dexterity to turn the dial. Even so, we had a lovely stay overall and would recommend it to our friends and family.."

"The Municipal is a lovely hotel, communal areas are fabulous, it is in a great location and was immaculate. We booked it for my birthday due to it being the only 5 star hotel in Liverpool and thought we would give it a try, we normally stay in the Titanic hotel, however I’m not really sure why it is classed as a 5 star hotel. The Titanic hotel in Liverpool is far more superior in my view. We stayed in a Superior room in the municipal and I have to say I was disappointed, the rooms in the Titanic are by far better, they are around 3 x the size with lounge area and have a bath as well as a shower. We are unlikely to stay again at the Municipal but it may suit others more than us so don’t be put off we just prefer something different."
