"A beautiful place nestled in the mountains, set in a charming, beautifully restored village. Its location is also ideal, roughly halfway between Elafonissi Beach and the Balos Lagoon, making it a great base for exploring both. Our room was a wonderful cottage, full of character and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The restaurant was another highlight, serving truly outstanding dishes. A wonderful experience overall."

Polydoros Hotel Apartments

8/10 Good

"Enormous room but tiny shower room Strong smell from kitchen but food in restaurant was excellent and if you stay in the hotel you get a 10% discount"

Resitour - Chania Aphrodite Beachfront

8/10 Good

"Manos is amazing, he is super attentive to guest and went out of his way to get us a wine bottle opener and a coffee machine. It was later in the season when we travelled to the mattress/bed and sofa were in need of a good cleaning, the cleaners had in the meantime covered it with linens but there was still a odor from the furniture which Manos tried to aid with by getting new linens and pillows. I would say one opportunity for the space is to ensure that the rooms are fully stocked with the basics like bottle opener, coffee maker, teas/coffee etc as it is a more remote location so people will need to drive to go get food or will use the kitchen that is there. It is definitely a more peaceful beach location and is lovely to walk along the beach to the nearby hotels and their restaurant's."

Monastery Estate Mountain Retreat

10/10 Excellent

"Perfect stay with my daughter for few days. Staff are so friendly and helpful all the time. Can’t fault the whole experience. The only thing I’d pick on was the smell in the toilet in our room, it’s probably due to the sewage system. The stafff came to attend and fix the smell every time we raise the issue. It’s really been a great escape ."

Neos Omalos

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is isolated close to the Samaria gorge’s trail departure. It’s perfect if you plan to visit the gorge. The hotel is a little outdated but it offers everything you need for your stay and is very affordable. The plus is the team. All of them are super nice and they make your stay unforgettable. I recommend everyone to get there just to enjoy being treated nicely in a very natural way."

Orestis Hotel Apartments

10/10 Excellent

"My unit had balconies of different views: Chania view with the sea, snow-capped mountain view, and olive grove view with the sea! Well-maintained modern hotel and the owner helped me what I needed very quickly. I truly appreciate that. it was an off-season and quiet around, but still able to find cafes and bakeries when I drove 5 min to the town. The tavern in front of the hotel offered big cretan meals which made me very happy as well.
