"Blue Sky rooms are in a very good location, set back from the main street so quieter in the nighttime. The owner is very helpful and friendly. My room was on the first floor with a balcony that had a folding table top and two chairs, it was great to have that outside space for breakfast or after coming back from the beach. The room had two single beds, bedside tables and a wardrobe. There was a kettle, cutlery and plates and a full sized fridge which was really useful for holding milk, salads...

"A pleasant family run hotel right on the beach in Agia Roumeli. The family is so kind and friendly — made the stay extra enjoyable. The hotel dinner and breakfast were both very good and set on a terrace overlooking the beach. Really loved our stay there. "

"Really comfortable and well presented property and nice that it is away from the main busy area of the beach perfect if you have a rental car. The owner was so nice and extremely accomodating, drove us too and from the bus stop multiple times as we didn’t have a rental car organised! "

"We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the Galini Palace Resort Hotel. The overall atmosphere was calm and peaceful throughout, as the hotel is located in a quiet area away from the main tourist crowds.
The Highlights:
The absolute star of the hotel is the pool area - it is large, beautiful, crystal clear, and offers great view of the sea. The staff were also extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The food variety in the dining room was impressive, and while not every dish was to our personal taste, we always found plenty to enjoy.
Areas for Improvement:
There were a few minor issues that kept this from being a true 5-star experience:
Pool Hours: The pool hours are quite limited (10:30 AM – 6:30 PM). We felt it would be much better if it opened earlier and stayed open later in the evening, especially during the long summer days.
Room Amenities: For a 5-star hotel, we expected more luxury touches. For example there were no bathrobes, and it was disappointing to be charged an extra daily fee to use the room safe.
Maintenance & Cleanliness: The showerhead in our room was completely clogged. Also, there was a strange, strong smell of cleaning products in the hallway outside our room, which wasn't very pleasant.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting. With a little more attention to the small details and operating hours, it would be perfect."
"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always willing to help with a smile. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location was perfect, close to the main attractions while still being peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."
"Buffet is clean, delicious, well sorted out and reasonably expansive. I wished omelette line is easier and faster. But there are variety of egg preparation so I went to get other egg dish for breakfast. There are themed supper every night whether it is Italian, Asian or Arabian. All good."
"Phos hotel was an absolute dream. Staff were helpful & accommodating, the property & rooms=12/10 & the breakfast was fantastic. The perfect spot if you're looking for a quiet, clean, chic place to stay between Platanias & Agia Marina. Our stay was exceptional and would absolutely return."
"We were there for a conference but also enjoyed the wonderful food, swimming pools and beach. Rooms were big, comfortable and super clean. Staff was always kind and helpful. Area is vibrant with shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend"
"I arrived on a Saturday evening, told there was an electrical issue with my room and needed to move me to their sister hotel, 20 minute taxi ride away (& further away from chania), having looked at the map, & seeing how far it was, nothing much around it, I told them it wasn’t acceptable, that I had booked the hotel in October (staying June), and I booked that hotel due to the location on the main road and I could head out at night on my own and feel safe! They ‘found’ me a room, 312, which was at the top of the stairs, near the lift & over reception entrance so would hear all the noise, it wasn’t the room I booked, it was a basic room & I booked &
paid for deluxe, I came back to reception & they moved me to room 405, much better and the room I had booked, bigger and brighter!
So from having no rooms, to having 2 rooms!! I do feel as a solo traveller they thought they could do that to me!!
The hotel is nice, reviews about the food are a bit harsh, I’m a bad eater & always managed to eat, the serving dishes were small which meant they run out, but meant it was topped up regularly with fresh food, the flavours of the food were nice & good variety, negative was that it wasn’t always hot, so found myself eating quickly, could have done with a microwave like a lot of Spanish places do. Even if all inc, I recommend dinner at MISTOS across the road for sunset, but you need to book, great views, food and staff! Also Hugsy’s for an after dinner drink!"
"absolutely brilliant. In a big hot spot area of Platanias with a bust beach and restaurant area. Don’t listen to any of the negative reviews. The place was spotless, ability to stream your netflix and youtube. Great deck, giant bathroom and the breakfast was incredible and delicious!! If they had a pool area near jacuzzi it would be absolutely top notch! What a great gem to stumble upon! Staff exceptionally friendly and they actually knew they were a VIP access hotel. Most don’t or don’t care! Thank you! Keep it up!"
