"Very friendly staff. Newly remodeled in some areas, so other areas are still being improved. The room we stayed in was spacious with a desk and seating area with two chairs and a coffee table. The beds were double rather than queen, but they were comfortable and served their purpose for the night. We would definitely stay here again. Can't wait to see how the rest of the remodeling goes."

"We spent two night to watch total solar eclipse here. Very clean and great managed property. Located in safe, quiet region with easy access to highways, and close to islands and great lakes. Some distant sounds of train can be heard at night. But it's not a concern to us at all. Management is definitely outstanding. "I chose this place knowing the bad reviews and terrible conditions, expecting the worst, and it did not surprise me. It was dirty, and dilapidated. The tiles and wallpaper were falling off the walls. The owner was friendly, but the room was truly awful. He said that he didn't have my reservation, but could rent me a room he wasn't planning on renting out due to issues. Not sure whether to summate this as a good or a bad thing. Ultimately, my alternatives were 3-4x the price for a 3 star hotel,...
