"We travelled with a group of 5 couples and stayed in the Welty House, known for being part of the ghost tours in Gettysburg. The rooms were decorated in period furniture. There was a beautiful courtyard with tables and chairs where we were able to gather. The beds are very firm, so this made it difficult for some to sleep. Rooms have electric fireplaces (except the Georgia room) which warmed up the rooms nicely. They moved me from the Georgia Room after the first night as the gas fireplace was...

"Brian and Jeff are exceptional hosts who take time to interact with their guests. This is a B&B that we will return to and highly recommend. The porch and garden areas are wonderful to sit, relax and have conversations. Our breakfast was very good with good conversation around the dinning room table. Our room was spotless and had a very comfortable king bed. A MUST visit!!!!"

"the estate is beautiful. our bathroom was super small with the toliet right over your knees . water pressure in shower was great. the bed super comfy slept like a rock. didn't know it was the 3rd floor. lol Not good for people with bad knees. "This home was very unique and filled with charm! We loved learning the history of Haines Shoes and the history of the Shoe House. We found the home to have all the comforts of home away from home. The home is decorated beautifully, very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the family room is wonderful for relaxing in the evening. We did not have time for the hot tub and fire pit but hope to the next time we visit."
