Big Blue Hotel

4/10 Poor

"After our amazing stay in November at this same hotel, we booked again but sadly this time our stay fell very short of expectations. For the money spent I expect a premium experience and this was not the case. The lifts were filthy for a start, and so were some of towels in our room. The bathroom door took some force to close properly and some lights flickered in the room. Cocktails were advertised in the bar but they were not being served, we ended up going back to Wetherspoons. Staff did not even offer the VIP entrance passes into the park, we had to go back and ask since I found my brother had received one from Boulevard Hotel he was staying in. Staff were nowhere near as attentive as our November trip and fell really short this time. Not impressed."

Beachfront Hotel

"The hotel itself was nice. Nothing fancy and just what I expected. The issues we had were within the room itself. The bathroom was tiny and could see mould/where mould had been and as it was so small, kept knocking an already wobbly shelf. The room was clean and inviting, though the beds were very creaky and uncomfortable which resulted in constant back ache. Would definitely come back if the beds and bathroom issues were resolved"

Vinnies Family Hotel

"We recently stayed at Vinnies Hotel in Blackpool and overall had a really pleasant stay. The location is fantastic – right on the promenade and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions like Central Pier and Blackpool Tower, which made everything really convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short break. The bed was cosy, and it was nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. It felt like good value for money and had a relaxed, homely feel. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. After check-in, we didn’t really see any staff around for the rest of our stay, and the housekeeper was only seen briefly at the start. There wasn’t anyone available when we needed help, and on the last day we tried to get some extra milk and sent a message but didn’t receive a response. That said, it didn’t take away too much from the overall experience. For a budget-friendly hotel in a great location, it offers really good value and we would happily stay again."

"We got a parking spot on the front of the hotel checked 3pm room ok for a few nights , evening meal starter ,main ,plus sweet ,tea coffee served at your table Evening entertainment was in two different rooms which artists switched around with bingo before hand ,we had good artists every night , breakfast was full english with toast waffles juice etc ,"

Las Palmas Hotel by the Sea

"The hotel is not called Las Palmas, the name on the front is Palm Beach, which is very confusing. The parking (that you pay £10 for) is a bit of a joke as there is only about 5 spaces for at least 36 rooms and I had to park on the grass. They did say there was other parking near by if there is no space. Our room was very warm with no fan/air conditioning and the window did not stay open. There was also a blind missing so was very bright in the morning. Our shower had one temperature...scolding hot so we could not use it and the toilet seat was broken. We did tell the receptionist but was told he would report it but was not maintenance so it would unlikely be fixed for when we left the next day. We were given the tv remove on arrival but didn't look at it as we dumped our bags and went out. We were given no information on the facilities or surrounding area. When we came in at 10.30pm, we asked if we had wifi as hadn't managed to find it and the receptionist said it was on the back of the remote but we could not find the network that night or the next morning. When we arrived there was a group of young men who were obviously drunk and we could hear them shouting at each other, which was quite scary as I was with my daughter. I suppose you get what you pay for but will not be staying again."
