Only drawback is the shared bathroom, it didn’t bother us but some may find it a bit awkward. All in all we had a very enjoyable couple of days there"

"If you like old and quirky then this place is ideal! Yes it’s a little tired and could do with a little tlc in places but the bed was comfortable (which for me is a huge plus). It’s in a very convenient location for walking around town. Plenty of cafes etc nearby as well as Sainsbury’s and Co-Op. "

"Wonderful setting very peaceful. We brought our dog with us our room had direct access to a lovely garden. Delicious breakfast, no bar or restaurant on site but we found a nice pub Fox & Hounds a couple of minutes away and had a very nice dinner there. "

"Stay was lovely, just some odd elements which were a bit strange! Make sure you arrive in good time to check in early, and double-check what the morning process is for leaving - main pub remained locked and egress was through the rear fire escape - noone in sight so left key in room. The room was lovely - really well laid out, roomy, and clearly well-thought out; lots of little things that made the place really nice. Weak spot was the bathroom - doesn't have a proper door. Shower was also dirty...

"The property is a lovely looking building with lots of character and quite eclectic inside. I have to say that the owner Leo was a strange character who barely mumbled 3 sentences during our stay. He didn't ask how we slept, if everything was ok with our room etc, no conversation at all which felt very uncomfortable. However the breakfast he served was nice and well cooked."

"Super overnight stay in this charming inn. Immediately felt at home and everyone is so welcoming. Drinks prices are very reasonable and we love the hot pork scratchings on the bar. Plenty of hot water for the bath and the absolute bonus of having the Chinese take away on site, The Water Margin. We will definitely stay again without doubt. "

"Was greeted with a very warm welcome and was informed about the facility at the place ( unlimited tea/coffee, shared living room, how to use the key to get in ( front door) options of places to eat and supermarket up the road) was guided to my room and asked when I was thinking off having breakfast. I had booked the single room, the bed was comfy and clean, there was a very small on suit with a small shower, sink and toilet. Room had a large wardrobe, good size tv, a chair and two small tables....
