"The hotel is magical - the staff super friendly. The decor elegant - remodel very well done - its very chic and not done in cheep way - the quality of toiletries and tea in room are high end - organic - wish we could stay here longer. The only thing to watch out for is check-in is closed from 12h-15h. The stairway up to the rooms is a bit narrow. Not a problem but just to be aware if you use oversized luggage. I would defiantly stay here again. "

"We absolutely adored our stay here. We stayed here for the first night of our honeymoon - without even asking the staff made up our room with rose petals and a congratulations card. Rafael instantly made us feel welcome, it was a quiet and clean place, and the English breakfast they cooked for us was delicious. "When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. "The hotel looked lovely but unfortunately we didn't get to stay. Turned up to find hotels.com had not passed out booking into hotel so left with nowhere to stay in remote countryside. I'd recommend the eco lodge - staff were lovely but not hotels.com -it took almost a month to get a refund only by going via my bank's anti fraud process."
