REGINA ISABELLA - RESORT SPA RESTAURANT

"A grand dame of a hotel, Regina Isabella was a wonderful relaxing stay from the moment we arrived until we left. The hotel itself is a beautiful classic and timeless style of a seaside resort. The service from every member of staff was wonderful. We dined in the hotel restaurant in the evening and also daily for breakfast and found the food and wine wonderful. Mr David the hotel manager was such a wonderful person and helped us so much after my father had car problems, even arranging repairs and driving my father to the port personally- he was the best hotel Manager I have ever encountered. The area of Lacco Ameno is very peaceful and has wonderful shopping. Just a 20 minute drive to the port and the beautiful old town with its castle."

"I almost didn’t want to review this hotel so I could keep it a secret! It is paradise on earth. Nestled at the top of a hill with stunning views and a number of thermal baths this was truly a place to recharge and take a break from the world. With a spa, fitness room, and a wonderful bar and restaurant you need not travel anywhere once you arrive. If you prefer there is a free shuttle to take you back and forth from the town square below. They also have a private beach club arranged if you would like a swim in the ocean. We could always find our very own secluded spot amongst the pools. A little paradise on earth is not an overstatement."

"The property is right off the main road which is convenient. It is in the commune of Lecco Ameno which is very small and it is walkable everywhere. Walking distance to the ferry pier is 10-20 minutes. Everything was fine for a short stay. The only thing is that there is a 'dance night' in the week where loud music went on until 11pm."

"Wonderful staff. Beautiful pool view a view. Rooms are basic and shower is small, but very typical for Italian hotel. Breakfast was traditional Italian breakfast but they did make us scrambled eggs upon request. Air conditioning is available but extra charge. Hotel is not in the heart of the town, so taxi, bus, or shuttle is necessary to get around the island."
