"Great location!! If you are looking to be a bit closer to the beaches rather than the city center/old town, this is a perfect spot away from all of the commotion. Only about a 30minute walk to the Riva Promenade, but only 5 minutes or so from the nearest beaches! We enjoyed the walks into town each day, and great food locations. Staff was amazing, loved the breakfast and bar service, highly recommend this spot! "

We loved our vacation in Split. There are challenges to navigate the high number of tourists. We chose to visit in late May before peak travel season. The locals were friendly and we found that everyone working in the service industry was great.

Split is a beautiful old town. It has soared in popularity since Game of Thrones so very hard to get around with tour groups all day every day. At this time of year (July) it is too crowded and very hot. Shoulder season would be better.

Split had wonderful food! Michelin rated restaurants for a quarter of what we would pay in the states. The every day restaurants were wonderful at low costs. This is a great layover city on your way to Hvar or the other islands.
