Airbnb House Rules & Booking Terms House Rules & Booking Terms for Your Stay We know the rules can be a bit of a dry read, but it’s important for you to be aware of what’s expected during your stay. Here’s everything you need to know, in a straightforward way, to make sure your holiday is as enjoyable as possible!
1. Your Contract with the Owner - Cornish Traditional Cottages (CTC) accepts bookings on behalf of property Owners. A booking forms a contract between the Guest (the person making the booking) and the Owner of the property. - CTC acts purely as a Booking Agent for the property Owners. Contracts accepted by CTC are between the Guest and the Owner, as identified in the official booking confirmation. - The Guest must be over 18 and authorised to agree to the Booking Conditions on behalf of everyone in the party, confirming all individuals (except infants) are aware of the terms.
2. Pets Pets are charged at £4 per pet per week. Unauthorised pets or pets exceeding size limits specified in the property description are a breach of contract, leading to booking termination without refund. If you plan to bring a pet other than a dog, please contact the oAice before booking to discuss your situation. Approval from the Owner is required prior to confirming your reservation. The Guest acknowledges that they have read and agree to the Pet Policy.
3. Occupying the Property - Properties are available from 4pm on the holiday start date until 10am on the holiday end date, unless otherwise agreed with the Owner / Housekeeper or Keyholder. The guest will be responsible for any costs incurred because of an unauthorised extension of their stay. - The number of occupants must not exceed the stated maximum in the property description. The license granted by the Owner allows only you and the members of your party listed on the booking form only to occupy the property, unless prior consent is given by the Owner. - You may invite friends to visit, but the total number of people in the property must never exceed the stated occupancy limit unless you have obtained prior consent from the Owner. No one other than those listed on the Booking Form may stay overnight at the property. Subletting is not permitted.
4. Breach of Contract Failure to adhere to these rules is a breach of contract and the Owner of the property has the right to terminate the booking without delay and all monies paid by the Guest will be forfeit.
5. Complaints - Guests must report complaints immediately to the Owner or their representative. Failure to allow the Owner to address the issue during the holiday waives the Guest’s right to compensation. - CTC is not party to the Contract between the Owner and the Guest and performs its functions entirely as a Booking Agent. We do not accept any liability for the failure of the Owner or their representative to keep the property and its contents in good condition.
6. Electricity and Heating - The supply of electricity in holiday homes is for domestic use and not for the charging of electric, hybrid vehicles or E-bikes. If a guest wishes to charge their electric vehicle or E-bike they will need to seek the agreement of the owner of the property, owners reserve the right to make a charge. If a guest is found charging their electric vehicle or E-bike without prior agreement owners reserve the right to make a charge. - Electricity is included unless otherwise stated in the description, and provision of electricity is for normal daily use. Excessive use of electricity may result in additional charges. - Heating is included unless otherwise stated in the description, and provision of heating is for normal use. Excessive use of heating may result in additional charges.
7. Mobile Phones & Internet - Mobile phone, 3G, 4G & 5G coverage varies throughout Cornwall. If this is a concern, Guests should verify coverage with their service provider before booking, as it cannot be guaranteed - Where a property is advertised as having internet access, this service is provided for normal use. Internet speed cannot be guaranteed, and normal usage excludes streaming or downloading of music or video content. Guests must adhere to the Wi-Fi policy.
8. Building Work From time to time building work is unavoidable, noisy and can cause disruption, the Owner nor CTC can provide guarantees that such works will not happen to neighbouring or buildings in the area during your holiday and cannot be liable for any disturbance such building work causes.
9. Nature While every effort is made to maintain the external areas of the property, no guarantee is given for the absence of animals or insects such as flies, wasps, bees, slugs, snails, or other wildlife, particularly in rural or coastal settings. As these creatures are a natural part of the environment, their presence is beyond the control of the property owner, the owners cannot be held liable for any disturbance or inconveniences caused during your holiday.
10. Descriptions - CTC ensures property descriptions are accurate, but no warranty is given regarding the state of the property. - Cornish Traditional Cottages is not liable for any perceived shortcomings in the properties it advertises. While property descriptions, images, and all details provided are presented in good faith and believed to be accurate, we cannot guarantee their correctness. - The accuracy of descriptions, images, and all details on affiliate websites is the responsibility of the affiliates. Cornish Traditional Cottages cannot be held accountable for any inaccuracies or discrepancies found on third-party sites. - Customers are responsible for thoroughly reading the property description before making a booking. CTC accepts payment on the basis that the description has been reviewed and fully understood. While CTC and the property owner strive to provide accurate descriptions, any uncertainties must be clarified with CTC prior to making a payment for the booking.
11 General Information - CTC provide general information about the area in the holiday home description, but we cannot guarantee details about the opening hours, costs, or availability of nearby attractions, pubs, cafes, restaurants, or shops. If proximity to a specific business is important to your stay, please do your own research to ensure it meets your needs before booking.
12. Non-Availability If the property becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Owner’s control, the Guest will receive a full refund. The Owner and CTC’s liability is limited to the refund amount.
13. Force Majeure CTC and the property owners cannot be held liable for any alterations, delays, cancellations, or any other losses or damages resulting from circumstances beyond our control. This includes, but is not limited to, war, civil unrest, terrorist activities, industrial disputes, fires, illnesses, severe weather, livestock issues, outbreaks and epidemics, actions taken by any government or public authority, and changes due to the rescheduling of airlines or ferries.
Having booked your holiday the Agent Cornish Traditional Cottages will process and confirm your booking, the travel directions and arrival information will be sent to you. The travel directions will provide you with the details of the owner / housekeeper and instruction on who to contact a few days before your holiday to make the key arrangements. You will also be given the details of your point of contact should you have any questions or issues whilst on holiday.
