" The cottages housing the rooms are small but well designed. They are near the road but this is very quiet at night. The golf course looked in very good condition and though we didn't play it on this occasion, we will play next time we visit."

"A very interesting, clean, friendly stay. The detail kept from the original prison is fabulous! The prison tour was great and finished of our stay perfectly! Breakfast was excellent. Surprisingly peaceful and quiet, maybe due to the super thick walls! Highly recommend a visit. "

"Such a beautiful and unique place and location! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the upgrade was very well received! The views are spectacular there; likely more so than I saw on the brochure, and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely go again. "

"Great place to stay, food good, comfý bed and the staff are all extremely helpful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when going to that part of Cornwall. My only negative comment is the indoor pool was cold and it has a outdoor jacuzzi which is cold too, they have just had this refurbished so maybe management will be improving the problem. They provide a shuttle bus to Polzeath and Rock, from Rock you can get the little ferry across to Padstow. The area is quite and relaxing with a few restsurants around, however the hotel restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. "

"Room was comfortable, nice big bed, 2 singles pushed together, great shower and lovely smelling shower gel. The pub had a cozy relaxed feel and the food was good. Tasty breakfast. Would stsy there again. "
