Condo has been completely renovated pictures coming this week.

Your home away from home awaits you here on beautiful Saint Simons Island Ga. Welcome to Shipwatch, a family friendly complex right on the beach where this condo will have all of the necessities for a perfect beach vacation. There is some excellent restaurants within walking distance or you can prepare your own meals in the full kitchen. Supplied with the condo is 2 beach cruiser bikes, some beach chairs, beach towels, a few beach toys, and a cart to haul everything down there and back. The condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master bedroom has a king size bed and other bedroom has 2 twins. Government per diem's accepted depending on length of stay.

I loved this rental, very clean and perfect location. We could have walked or rode bikes to almost everything but it was raining throughout the stay, so we drove. This is my new favorite beach. We’ve been going to Destin for years and it has become way overcrowded and lost the beach vibe! St Simone’s has not! It was beautiful!

Our host Ben was great and very responsive to any questions we had. A nicely renovated older complex with everything we needed for our family of four plus our family dog. Space for her to run around and swim at the beach as well. The pool was wonderful and clean. All of the people we encountered were kind and friendly. The beach chairs and bikes Ben provided were perfect for the beach. We went almost every day. Great location to get up and walk to the beach for sunrise. Also close to many restaurants, shops, etc. We walked, biked, and drove. The beaches were very clean here as well as on Jekyll Island too. The benches along Ocean Drive were a nice spot to sit watch part of the sunset also and just a few short blocks from the condo. We really enjoyed these restaurants/Cafes: Tramicis, Porch, Three Little Birds, Wake up Coffee, Palmer’s Village Cafe, and St. Simon’s Crepes. Would recommend to others to visit this area and check out Ben’s Condo. Thanks for the memories!

Awesome stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay,friendly and very accessible to beach area. Beautiful place and would stay again and let friends know of this amazing place. Thank you very much Mr. Ben! Planning to book for next summer, if the Lord’s willing.

This is a well located condo. It’s older construction but I really liked that it is a corner unit and has a very pleasant balcony. And the complex has a lovely common area with a pool and barbecue options, plus good access to the beach. I would stay there again.

Nice condo in a great location

Pictures accurately portray the tastefully decorated condo. Very comfortable for 3-4 guests. Kitchen stocked to prepare and cook basic meals. The location on the island is really good - we love biking to the pier, shops and restaurants that are nearby. Pool was nice. While this does have beach access which is great, it is a good 5-10 minute walk through the dunes down to the beach. It’s fine, but it’s not your typical beachfront property with a view of the ocean. Owner was very nice and quick to respond to any questions that I had! We would stay here again!

Amazing location and amenities

We loved our spring break stay! The place came with bikes, which we loved riding around the island, and a wagon with chairs and anything you'd need for a day at the beach. The place was well-stocked, and the beds were comfy. It had books, puzzles, and games, and the balcony was nice to enjoy coffee. Our dog loved making friends at the beach! We felt the place was not as clean as we would like, but we read the previous reviews and were somewhat expecting that. Nothing alarming but something to be aware of. We would definitely come back as we fell in love with St. Simon's!

Small but cozy

Was perfect for our needs. We were down for grandson’s tennis tourney. Condo was clean and cool. Communication was good. Could use new bathroom mats and sheets. Overall… great place at a reasonable price.

Happy with our stay

Good location on the beach and unit is very close to stairs and parking. Bikes, beach wagon, chairs, boards included in storage unit as well. Unit had some updated furniture from posted pictures as well which was nice. Would rent again.

Family vacay

This was an awesome condo to stay in. Loved the beds. Very nice. I brought things I thought I would have needed. But this condo already had everything, even things needed for the beach. I could've saved alot of space in my car . The only thing that was missing was a fan but that is only because I need one to sleep. But will definitely rent this one again. The owner was very prompt with all the information that I needed to check-in and out.

Property was NOT clean

Very disappointed in the cleanliness of this property especially given that there is a required cleaning fee. Especially given the pandemic! Black mold in shower - on shower curtain - we took the liner off completely and put in on the balcony. Sticky floors Carpets filthy and stained Furniture and top of refrigerator not clean or dusted Tubs not scrubbed if soap scum

Great Experience

We love St. Simons, and had a great experience reserving this property with Ben, the property manager. He was professional, communicative, and very helpful when we had some personal needs arise. Great location - we look forward to returning!

Safety, difficulty

Struggled to look and unlock doors EVERY time. Could not move sliding glass door. Had there been a fire we would not have been able to safely exit.

Nice complex

Overall we had an enjoyable stay in this unit. Our kids enjoyed the roomy pool, the complex was quiet and the people we encountered friendly. The bed, floors and showers were clean, but the unit is in need of a deep cleaning—inside cupboards, fridge, stove, floors around appliances, etc weren’t very clean, which gives the feel of the whole place not as clean as we’d like. We were also counting on the sleeper sofa for a 5th person, but it wasn’t comfortable so we ended up using our inflatable mattress instead. This unit would be best for 4 or fewer people. Having the bikes and beach equipment there was very handy. Ben was responsive and friendly when asked questions. This unit is in a good location.

Wonderful, Relaxing Vacation

This was our family’s first trip to the East Coast. We live 1.5 hours from the Gulf of Mexico, but we drove 5 hours to experience SSI. It was totally worth the drive. Our room was impeccable. It was clean, accommodating, and very comfortable. All amenities listed were included plus some extras. We have kids ranging from 19 to 10, and everyone had a great time. We hope to make this our go-to spot for years to come.

Needs TLC

This was our second time staying at this property. We like the location and the fact that it is pet friendly. The only draw back is that this unit really needs a deep cleaning and some TLC. There was a noticeable decline in the overall upkeep from the previous time we rented.
