Your home away from home awaits you here on beautiful Saint Simons Island Ga. Welcome to Shipwatch, a family friendly complex right on the beach where this condo will have all of the necessities for a perfect beach vacation. There is some excellent restaurants within walking distance or you can prepare your own meals in the full kitchen. Supplied with the condo is 2 beach cruiser bikes, some beach chairs, beach towels, a few beach toys, and a cart to haul everything down there and back. The condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master bedroom has a king size bed and other bedroom has 2 twins. Government per diem's accepted depending on length of stay.

Lovely stay, best complex in SSI

We had a wonderful stay at Shipwatch. The condo was just perfect for our needs. The host was responsive and polite, though we didn’t end up ever needing him because the condo was so well-provisioned. Thank you!

Quiet Getaway

Property is a little older and in need of some repairs around the complex. Overall a great experience. The location of the condo gave access to many restaurants and shops. Ben was quick to repond to any concerns sent to him. The elevator was a nice addition to getting our luggage up 3 flights.

Wonderful beach! Great Condo!

Very comfortable condo. Plenty of room for four adults and 2 dogs. Nicely decorated. Balcony with table. Great view of the ocean from the deck of the building (not from the condo). Path to the wide, wonderful beach with gorgeous, golden sunsets. Plenty of parking on Veterans Day weekend. Peaceful, quiet. You could hear the waves.! Great location. Property manager and owner were outstanding! Extremely helpful!

Perfect experience

We can't wait to return to this gem. Ben was wonderful to work with and so laid back. He worked around our schedules and even left us a sweet wedding gift as we used this condo during our wedding/honeymoon on the beach. The location couldn't have been better and the bikes gave us great access to shops/restaurants without having to constantly get in our car. The décor is adorable and had everything we needed, plus it was extremely clean. We couldn't have asked for anything better for our special week. We will be back and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Too Short!

We were given a limited amount of time to spend away. We accidentally found this little gem that accepted the other member of our family - Oliver the Cairn. Well, we couldn't have been happier. The condo was sparkling clean, well appointed, and totally comfortable. We arrived too early on the island for normal check in, but Ben met us and let us check in, making us feel immediately welcomed. He checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The beach is a private walk away. Restaurants with local seafood are just down the street and around the corner. Internet access is available. I'm not sure you could or should expect more. The bed in the master bedroom was wonderful. Plenty of linen. And a working elevator! Thank you, Ben, for sharing your home with us.

Shipwatch

Our stay at SSI was great! Shipwatch is an older property but met our needs. The beach was never crowded, the pool was always clean, and parking was easy to find. Bring a beach cart because it is a bit of a walk if you are hauling things to the beach with you. Ben was a great host!

We enjoyed the condo. The owner was quick on his responses to questions and a minor issue in the unit. It was just the right size for our family of four with close proximity (but a walk through the foliage) to the beach.

Been coming to Shipwatch my entire life. It is like a home away from home. The check in/out process was super easy. The unit is just as described. The bed in the primary is probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Had everything you needed to have a great week at the beach. Overall everything in the unit was great, cannot wait to come back next year!

Location to town and beach access was perfect for us. Pool area uncrowded and spacious. Unit was perfect for three people. Host responded promptly to messages. Some minor bumps and bruises with wifi and washing machine addressed by host in timely fashion.

Great beach condo

Very nice condo with everything we needed. Great with a dog. Beach is a bit of a walk, but very nice. Great beach. Able to walk to great restaurants. Area was peaceful. Only comment on cleanliness was the appliances were a bit greasy. Would love to stay here again. Washer and dryer in the unit.

Great Family Vacay!

We had an amazingly relaxing stay! The location is wonderful. We were able to watch lots of fireworks from the beach on the 4th which was a great suprise!! The property was well maintained and the pool area was a great place to unwind!

Baseball at the beach

Overall it's a great condo! Nothing over the top and easy access to all parts of St. Simmons. Yes it's a little bit of a walk to the beach from the condo, but its a very easy walk with private access. We came for a baseball tournament and it was perfect since we were in and out of the condo a lot between games and spending time with the baseball families.

Annual beach vacation with grandchildren.

location was fine - we used to live on SSI so are very familar with island. The unit we rented was dirty and many "small" things needed repair, none of them would be costly but I don't pay for vacation to stay where things are dirty and in disrepair. From handbar in tub/shower falling down, curtain rod fell down whenever we tried to open drapes, missing knobs on light switches, sliding doors nearly impossible to open (& 1 did not lock), no pillowcases on at least 2 of the bed pillows (where only 4 in entire condo), sheets did not fit the twin beds, bedspreads for all 4 beds need to be cleaned. All in all, we were disappointed with the condition. We have achieved and maintained the highest rating as guests on VRBO so I am not being nitpicky! In spite of condition of condo we had a great vacation.

Great condo on the beach

Beautiful third floor condo with everything you need for a perfect beach vacation. The beds we’re comfortable, the location was gorgeous and the restaurants around were amazing. The elevator made loading and unloading a breeze, the pool was big enough to not feel crowded, the kitchen was well stocked and the parking was fair. I have a Ram 1500 and it was a tight squeeze into the garage so I parked in the lot inside the automated gate. We love SSI and will definitely be back. Hopefully this exact unit is available again when we come!

Nice condo and location. Beach is a bit of a walk though the dunes. Dogs loved the large field behind the condos to run and play. We will definitely be returning. Host, Ben very attentive to our needs. Even texted that we could check in a little earlier. Would rent this condo again.
