"The main hotel is stunning! Beautifully decorated and really charming. The 'beach' is a bit of an overstatement but the views of the water are incredible. Now the room ... although it is advertised (not particularly well though) that the private bathroom for the double room is not in the room ... i think any hotel that is under expedias luxury programme should be able to sell any rooms without an inroom bathroom ... especially when the other rooma in the lodge are not much for expensive! Either the room needs to be heavily discounted for the inconvience of having to leave the bathroom and go down the hall tp use the bathroom or the room should not exist. As for the free breakfast.. it was brought to us without cutlery and as we were in the lodge when we tried to call reception to get some sent up there was no connection ... so my partner had to eat his breakfast with a tea spoon & i did not even bother... once again not fitting into the premise of a luxury hotel .."

"The Victoria is located ideally for travellers use as a base for Anglesey & North Wales. There is parking but sometimes busy and full. Waiting and room staff are very pleasant & polite. One staff member stood out exceptionally, think his name was Toby?The service and food there was very good, but the continental breakfast area and self serve hot drinks needs attention. However, one day a male manager gave a female staff member a very loud upsetting verbal discipline, which clients could hear. It was our 2nd stay at The Victoria Hotel and looking forward to staying there on our next visit to the area."

"Such a great living space for 10 people and dogs - the bedrooms are a good size too. We had a couple of BBQs and it’s really lovely looking over the water. Would definitely recommend."

"We had a lovely family week at Cartrefle. It’s a beautiful, spacious and very characterful house, with some gorgeous interiors and plenty of room for a large family to spend time together without feeling on top of one another. We particularly loved the traditional feel of the house and its location, which was a great base for exploring Anglesey. Heather was extremely helpful and communicative both before and during our stay, which we really appreciated. Overall we really enjoyed our week and have some very happy memories of our family holiday there."

"Lovely property just a couple of issues * property details didn’t say there was several steep slate steps going up to the property and no handrail which made it difficult for anybody with mobility issues and as the weather is often wet, the steps were quite slippery* Secondly, the back room gets very little natural light as a window is small and over looking a wasteland area and a public footpath. It would benefit from having some kind of privacy window treatment such as wooden slatted Venetian blinds also the room is painted a very dark grey and the lightbulb is very low wattage all of that makes it a very dingy room to stay in as you need to keep the blind down for privacy and the colour of room drains any natural/artificial lightThe kitchen is well equipped, and the Bathroom is luxurious. Really enjoyed our stay."
