The Tower Hotel, by Thistle

"Loved our 4 night stay! Location is perfect and the food trucks and bar at the base of the bridge was a perfect way to unwind after a big day. Close to a Tesco and Tower Hill station, and we felt safe walking the area at all times. Rooms were big and comfortable, some of the doors and cupboards etc need a freshen up but I believe they are doing that now. Will definitely stay again!!!"

"POD was really roomy and comfortable, the air conditioning was GREAT. Bathroom facilities were clean and the shower rooms were large. Would recommend staying in a lower pod just because the steps are difficult in the middle of the night if you get up to use the toilet."

"What We Loved Service: The entire staff was incredibly polite, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Ambiance & Facilities: The hotel interior is beautiful and impeccably clean. The ambiance made for a very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast: The morning breakfast buffet was fresh, good quality, and an enjoyable start to the day. Area for Improvement Lunch & Dinner: While the restaurant service and decor were top-notch, the quality of the food during lunch and dinner was disappointing. The dishes fell short of the high standards set by the rest of the hotel. With a bit more attention to the culinary side, this place would be absolute perfection."

"Friendly arrival and check in by staff who offered us sheets for our bedding due to heatwave (duvets would be too warm). Fan in the room kept it cooler. Very clean rooms and main areas. Excellent time spent there - I would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely book again. Thank you."

"I had a double bed room with a large balcony overlooking the Rotherhithe pier and across the Thames, Canary Wharf pier. It was a really nice touch having the balcony as the hotel was/is currently facing issues with their ac system not working around the hotel so I could leave my balcony door open for cool air as I slept. I did not have breakfast so I cannot speak on that. My room had bits of dirt here and there but nothing too crazy to complain to the staff about. Staff are friendly and helpful. Due to the convenience of staying right across from Canary Wharf (and it being a 2/3 minute boat ride away (free for guests staying at the A&O), I would definitely recommend staying here as I am already planning my next trip back."
