A wonderfully unique property, beautifully well kept and maintained! Could not have asked for a more amazing, engaging and lovely host. Already looking forward to my next stay here!❤️

Good dinner and wine list, great breakfast offerings, room spacious and nice views…. Charming country hotel. Would stay again

Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace.

Lovely stay all around!

The property is almost on Silverstone racetrack and the rack was busy the whole time. Lots of small, very fast, racecars plus other tricked out cars watched from the roof deck or the restuarant. The accommodation is spacious, interesting and comfortable, there are sculptures scattered through the grounds and each "room" has a deck or balcony with views of interesting landscaping or for more money fantastic views of the track. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was very nice,...

Staff were so helpful and amazing! I loved the restaurant attached to the hotel and how welcoming everyone was here.

I lived in England most of my life and never even knew this place existed. Researching some National Trust properties to visit discovered this hotel associated with Waddesdon Manor. What a gem of a find! We only stayed one night but could, and should, have stayed longer. The location is excellent and a short easy walk just across the fields to Waddesdon Manor which is a must visit in my view. The rooms are comfortable, staff were excellent, friendly and efficient, and I completely recommend...

Perfect stay. Great breakfast. Good location

I liked the warm feeling from the staff and the attentiveness from the manager . The property is quaint and homely and i will go back again next time i am back in the UK

Sue greeted us at reception, she was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and tidy. Evening meal was delicious and served quickly. A nice short stay and would recommend to potential guests!

Michelle at the front desk was very kind and helped me get the best room for me, despite my own mixup about dates. Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay - the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great, lots of options. We enjoyed all the food we ate there, great variety on the menu and fresh tasting food. We booked to stay here during the British Grand Prix and thought it was excellent value for money. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and seem recently renovated. Our room was up lots of stairs - this wasn’t a problem for us but worth considering your luggage. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff. Rooms are older, but the Inn was built in the 1500's, so what do you expect? Rooms were a great size and the water pressure was outstanding. Breakfast was great and included with our stay. Good restaurant too for dinner.

The rooms are fairly small, but this is to be expected in such an old building. Spotlessly clean, good supplies of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits provided too. High quality linens. The pub itself serves good quality beer (Wadworth's and associates), and the home cooked food was also great and healthy(ish). Breakfast was hearty, with a good choice of options. Staff couldn't help enough... Just about perfect really!

Perfectly clean and modern. Just the right amount of communication and help from the host. Highly recommend!
