"On arrival (and despite having checked in online) we had to wait 45 minutes past 3pm - we were given a free drink voucher which was appreciated.
Our initial room’s air con wasn’t working - so that involved another trip to a very busy reception to ask to be moved. It took longer than we were told, so we had to store our luggage and finally get into our room when we returned from dinner/show - this was not an ideal start to our three night stay but these things happen.
Staff were helpful and pleasant throughout, breakfast was great (plenty choice) and we had a quick visit to the pool (which you have to pre-book). The pool had been a big draw to this hotel - but tbh, it wasn’t very big and we could have lived without it.
The area is ideal - great transport options (we mostly used the bus if going further) and walkable to the London Eye and South Bank. Area felt safe and plenty little supermarket shops for snacks.
One slight issue for me - I did the online check in before we got there and what I assumed was a pre-authorisation of £45 was taken from my card. Despite several emails to the hotel I’ve had no response as to why I was charged an extra £12.50 a night on the checking out invoice.
Although after the initial faff on arrival we had a very nice stay overall, this poor communication would put me off staying here again."
