"A beautifully presented cottage within walking distance of Stroud centre, minutes from the delightful canal path. We have just returned from our second visit and it really does feel like home. It’s an extremely comfortable cottage with everything you could wish for, including private off road secure parking for 2 or 3 cars. The hosts obviously put a lot of love and care into the cottage and make it very welcoming."

"Very helpful reception staff very welcoming and informative. Room was very clean and ready for us. Bar and restaurant staff were also excellent attentive. We had an excellent meal, the bill needed a bit of sorting out as the system had difficulty sorting out the normal menu and the offered special but got there in the end. We were with friends ( who used to be in the hospitality industry) and overall we were impressed. Thank you to all at The Bear we will be back "

"This was our 2nd time staying at the Bell Inn and we had another excellent stay with our 2 dogs as well. The room was very spacious, spottless and very comfortable as well. The restaurant as always was excellent too! Thank you :)"

"It's a really nice cottage. It's well equipped and well decorated. It's got three really decent bedrooms. Bathrooms are also great and it was clean. I took off one star because I found the parking quite difficult. I had an idea of the error. It's a very narrow lane and there is a parking space for what they describe as a medium small car. It's really tight though so parking is tricky if you had more than one car you'd have to try and find some space in the lanes roundabout that would be pretty tricky. Despite this, I would consider staying there again."

"Cotswold Way Cottage was ideal for the 3 of us and in a good location for where we wanted to be. Lots of walks close by up to Rodbourgh Common an down to the canal. Close enough to get into Stroud easily. The only down side was the parking, it was a busy time of year and what with the pub over the road having no parking it wasn’t always easy to find any off road parking during the evening."

"We absolutely loved our stay in Lucknow Terrace. The interior was so beautiful, attention to detail everywhere. It was the perfect cosy, comfy home to return to after a cold walk in the countryside! We all slept so well and enjoyed the sociable living space. Thank you !!"

"Just DON’T. We were misled by pics and text - paid £102 for a shoebox room with minimal facilities and staff not overly helpful. We chose as it looked like they had a Greek restaurant plus steaks - turned up to be told they only do pizzas! We went somewhere else to eat. No breakfast as we are told the toaster isn’t working! Total joke of a place. Didn’t even give them any trade arms the bar. Never to return. "
