"The road outside is a little noisy but the bed is incredibly comfortable. Kitchen facilities are excellent and room has WiFi and Sky TV (although the TV can't be easily seen from the bed). Shower was good - certainly hot enough, and toiletries provided were a nice touch. "

"My partner and I stayed here as a surprise weekend away for her 30th Birthday. Our friends joined us mid-stay for a few nights also. The location is amazing. It’s within great distance to local amenities and restaurants and perfect for just walking around the picturesque countryside. The lodge itself is not something I’ve stayed in before. It felt like something from a James Bond film, with movie posters on the walls and mid century furniture. It was very cosy indeed and we loved our stay. It was warm and comfy. The only criticism I would give is that in 2026, there should be better WiFi coverage, and a modern TV. The TV is extremely old with a Roku box connected for Netflix etc but quality is poor, so could be modernised. It’s nice to snuggle up to a movie after a long day walking and evening in the hot tub. The bathroom was a little outdated and needed some TLC and the lodge was full of cobwebs on the ceilings/shelves. Despite these minor “personal preferences”, the lodge is very good value and we would like to return in the summer with access to the pool."

"Lovely little cottage great for a short break. We were 2 couples and it suited us just fine had everything we needed. Situated in a narrow street, no problem finding on street parking and we had 2 cars. Stroud is a lovely place with a great farmers market on Saturday which was only a short from the cottage. "

"The cottage is very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. We particularly appreciated the milk, tea, coffee and cake provided when we arrived at the cottage. The hosts were very welcoming and checked in with us which was reassuring if there had been a problem. Due to the weather and time of year we were unable to use the gardens but they would be lovely in good weather. If anything, the cottage was a little warm but that was partly due to the changeable weather as it was perfect temperature on another day!"

"It's a really nice cottage. It's well equipped and well decorated. It's got three really decent bedrooms. Bathrooms are also great and it was clean. I took off one star because I found the parking quite difficult. I had an idea of the error. It's a very narrow lane and there is a parking space for what they describe as a medium small car. It's really tight though so parking is tricky if you had more than one car you'd have to try and find some space in the lanes roundabout that would be pretty tricky. Despite this, I would consider staying there again."

"Cotswold Way Cottage was ideal for the 3 of us and in a good location for where we wanted to be. Lots of walks close by up to Rodbourgh Common an down to the canal. Close enough to get into Stroud easily. The only down side was the parking, it was a busy time of year and what with the pub over the road having no parking it wasn’t always easy to find any off road parking during the evening."
