"The person at the desk was neither friendly or helpful at arrival. There were no clean towels offered until requested after several days. There was a parking fee which was not disclosed when making reservation. Due to emergency no time to make reservation through optional channels. Thus, the Rest Easy option for reduced rate was denied due to third party booking. Not offered a receipt at checkout for the same reason. Under different circumstances I would have changed hotels. For future stays I will seriously consider that."

"Pros Clean room, lobby and elevator. Nice and comfortable lobby chairs and tables. The king bed was super comfortable to sleep on. Cons Seems like the breakfast staff member are over work. No smile they seem frustrated. The pool is small around 4ft depth? I didn't bother to go its more appealing for children than to adults. Shower head kept leaking which I reported but it seem like its a common thing since nothing was done about it."

"Great old house Pros:-The large number of rooms was perfect for our family to gather while in the area for a wedding. We loved the multiple living areas and big dining table. We even enjoyed the separate ‘caretaker apartment’ for our 2 families with babies.-It is great to be able to easily walk into town.-Spencer was a great host. He ensured that we had everything we needed, including baby equipment. He also was very responsive to every need that arose during our stay there and we really appreciated his kindness. Cons: -The third floor contains 4 bedrooms (technically 3) with many beds. However, the 3rd floor is very warm in warm weather and only 1 room has an AC unit. Another reviewer was told a year ago that they were going to put heat/cool units in each room and I asked prior to booking if they would be installed by this summer. I was told they hoped to have them in before our stay. But they have not been installed and we had several family members sleeping in the game room and some in a hotel because of the heat. -Also after just one shower we had a plumbing leak, onto the kitchen stove. Spencer had a plumber there ASAP, but it was a big issue that could not be repaired that weekend so we lost a third of the bathrooms in the house for the three days we were there. A previous reviewer had the same issue a year ago. Based on the plumbing materials that failed, it seems the house is in need of some plumbing renovations."
