"Rooms are clean and modern, very comfortable. Instant hot water and great pressure in the shower. Front desk staff is very friendly and always very helpful. The hotel offers text message alerts for northern lights and thats how we saw the most spectacular display during our visit."

"Excellent experience at the Svalbard Lodge. Room was clean, although a little outdated. Loved having a washer. The staff was great. We got tired of taking our shoes off every time we went from one building to the other, but that’s the way things are done in Longyearbyen. Dinner at the Polfareren was fabulous! It was a birthday trip and they made it special. "
