"This cottage had everything we needed, including enough toiletries and towels for 4 people for a whole week. It was comfortable and well maintained. The only reason I gave a lower rating on amenities is the service in the on-site restaurant was horrible. Drive 3 minutes down the road to Island Tacos. You won’t be disappointed!!"

"Perfect Kauai getawayWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. It is comfortable and very cozy. The house was built after WWII so it had tons of charm. So nice to be in a quiet neighborhood and just relax to the sound of the waves, birds, roosters and the pond in the backyard. The house had everything we needed from the stocked kitchen, grill and beach stuff. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The house was easy access to everything we wanted to do. It was nice to not be caught up with all the tourists. Exploring is part of the fun so just driving and stopping at the little towns was great. Anywhere you drive is so beautiful from the ocean, the flora, fauna, Waimea Canyon and the relaxing vibe of the small towns. Debra was very welcoming and a great host. We enjoyed visiting with her and Liko. Hoku, the dog was so sweet and we loved our visits from him.Highly recommend this property!!"

"Hale Makai was a perfect refuge and a great location for our stay on Kauai. The hot tub was a huge plus post-hike and Liz and Chad were awesome hosts! They provided everything we needed, from fully stocked kitchen to beach accessories. "

"In spite of a strong Kona low pressure storm front coming in we enjoyed our time at the Nene Nest immensely. The cottage was what we expected. The listing was accurate. Communication with the hostess was timely. And my wife and I love the more quiet side of Kauai in Kekaha. All in all a very Vacation spot for us."

"House was beautiful and property was beautiful as well. Views were fantastic and amenities were fantastic. Our only issue was the amount of noise from construction site across the street which made it hard to hear in the backyard. Everything else was perfect. "
