"This property was clean, quaint and had character. We loved the spacious cabins with all of the amenities we needed. I enjoyed the privacy of the cabins, surrounded by large plants, flowers and fruit trees to give the feeling of being miles away. We used the gas grills for our dinners and they were always clean and available. We also enjoyed the community restaurant with the beer wall and good pizza. We took morning walks on the long, private beach-passing only a few other walkers and some horses. We had an ocean view, but could quickly access the beach lawn chairs to catch the sunrise and sunset. We saw the friendly staff every where working hard to keep the grounds clean. This place is older and has a unique history, but if you are looking for something modern and near many town activities, then look elsewhere. Five stars all the way for us."

"Great place to stay on the “quiet side” of Kaua’i. Beautiful home right across the street from walkable quiet beach with the added plus of a great hot tub. Excellent proximity to Waimea Canyon and Koke’e state park for great hiking. Longer drive to north coast and Lihue/Poipu areas but for us the trade off was well worth it. Would definitely recommend."

"Really enfoyed the quiet relaxing atmosphere of the town and of the property. Beautiful property. Nice outdoor shower, used it for every shower. Found great bakeries and eats a couple miles away. Great place to get away from the high tourist areas."

"This place was perfect for us. We really liked being able to see and hear the ocean from anywhere. Inside the house, you could see the ocean from every room, whether it was from windows or sliding glass doors. The main house was homey but spacious with comfortable seating for all 7 of us in the living room and at the dining room table. The patio also had a large patio table you could eat at outside. It also had a small patio table and a large sectional that could probably seat a dozen people. This was wonderful because it looked over a rocky ocean beach where you could just sit and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. Several times, we were able to see turtles and dolphins in the distance swimming in the ocean. On-site were so many bonuses, including binoculars, beach towels, nice bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in all showers. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and cooking supplies enough that you could cook meals or heat up leftovers and a washer and dryer to do laundry. The side house was very cute studio with its own bathroom and kitchenette.We also like the location. We were close to beaches where we could swim, snorkel, and boogie board.Communication with Diane was prompt, friendly, and helpful."

"Very stylish and clean place and location was walkable to everything in town. Only real complaint was that neither mattress was particularly comfortable, and there must have been 100 roosters nearby that woke us up every night starting at sometimes 2-3 AM. We knew we weren’t going to sleep past 5 am or so for the remainder of the trip by the first night. Not anyone’s fault but felt it was fair to share! Great place. "

"This property exceeded our expectations in every way! It was the perfect spring break retreat for our family of 6 with plenty of space. Well-equipped, cozy and charming in every way! Seamless check-in and responsive host when needed. Loved reading about the history of the home, which was featured in a book on the coffee table. It was GREAT to have a pool in the back yard while the baby napped. The front yard was like a tropical paradise! I would strongly suggest checking out the Salt Pond Beach close by, great for families with small children. The property provides everything you'd need for a day at the beach! There are PLENTY of towels for beach and pool. Quality towels!! Our granddaughter called this her Hawaii White House! Looking forward to another stay!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Kuhio Shores 301. The view and sound of the ocean from the balcony draws you in. The hosts have thought of everything as far as supplies, including beach chairs, a cooler, and an umbrella. Our hosts were so gracious by letting us stay late on our final day, as we weren’t flying out until late that night. We’re grateful for them and for this home-away-from-home!"
