"I never write reviews, but felt I had to for my stay at Wyndham Tamarindo. The staff is not properly trained to provide customer service in the hospitality industry. There is no gym on the premises, you will need to take a shuttle or walk to The Langosta Beach Club to use their gym. The water kept running out. We had to quickly take showers to ensure we did not run out of water. The TV only worked with 2 remotes. One remote was for the volume and the other to change the channels. They also ran out towels. We had to use pool towels. There were also bugs in the bed. I will say that the aesthetic of the hotel was nice, but the service was subpar. "

"Love the place, the pool was lovely and mostly quiet plenty of sitting available. The room was clean and well stocked with a full fridge, dishes everything you’d need. They don’t supply paper towels or dish soap so would want to get that before heading to the area. There is a tiny store but it’s not very equipped. Also you’re in jungle wooden area lot of bugs ants mostly take bug killer. Staff excellent and helpful. You are not on the beach but you have private access to it just across the way. There are 3 restaurants close by prices are American prices, not cheap. Buy snacks and food before heading to the area it will save you a ton of money. The hotel itself has no food or drinks. Within a mile or less down the beach you can cross by boat $2pp to Tamorino very active a lot shopping, restaurants and nightlife if that’s what you like. The hotel can set you up for tours and they will pick you up at the hotel. Bottom line this is a nice calm hotel but everything you want extra is close enough to get to. If you rent a car they have parking right out front it’s a safe this area is very clean and protected. Again, I would shop at a store before heading out to this hotel because it doesn’t have much of a selection. All the restaurants were good and the fresh fish was amazing. Have a fantastic vacation. Monkeys everywhere in the trees keep your eyes open. Turtles are fairly close down the beach also ask the front desk they will help you. "

"Location fantastic! But the small grassy area for guests had three lounge chairs two completely broken and side table broken. No drinking/water glasses in room and no coffee maker. Bathroom door didn’t quite close and not all outlets work. Hardly saw any staff they provided no information. Door locks are just a push lock no dead bolt or chain. Best feature is quiet ocean beach is right there. "

"Amara was the most responsive, helpful host we have ever had - always so kind and responding within minutes no matter the time, helped us find the property as we arrived at night time, helped us navigate and coordinate literally everything we did during our stay, arranged transportation, arranged a sunset beach horseback ride, and arranged housekeeping (as we stayed for 7 days). The location is incredible. Right on the beach at the edge of town, in a quiet/private area but still very quick and easy walk right into town (can get anywhere by walking on the beach or the street path)! The property is also beautiful - all areas, including the shared pool/deck, are well maintained and very clean. We felt very safe here and knew that if we needed anything Amara was there to help! We were so sad to leave and would LOVE to come back some day! If you’re thinking about it, book it!! "
