However, this hotel has a number of problems relating to access. When we arrived by taxi from the station there was no obvious way into the hotel and no signage to help, a real problem for someone with mobility problems. Also, given that the ground floor overlooks the Winter Gardens it is both frustrating and totally absurd that access to the Gardens is blocked from the hotel. Surely a system involving key cards or a code could be devised that would afford both access and security. It is something that takes away from the attraction of staying at the hotel - a definite negative."
