"Very nice apartment w/ view on the mountains. Very quiet and cozy. Everything in the apartment for cooking. Only slight down side is that the bathroom is a little small. Otherwise a great place to stay!!"

"Beds were very comfy, although I think we were given the smallest rooms in the hotel! Was ideal for a one night stopover for our large group. As it was a holiday weekend, the area was deserted but we managed to find 1 restaurant open for dinner. Hotel staff were nice, polite and helpful and the spa/sauna was great. "

"We stayed here for one night after spending the day at the castle. The hotel is ideally located near the center with walking streets only with restaurants and shops. The room worked well for a family of 4. There is also a kids area and gym for those that may want to workout on vacation. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of options, including a chocolate fountain! Parking is easily accessible under the hotel with a 2-story garage. "Celebrated an anniversary and birthday while staying at the Waxenstein. An anniversary card and chocolates in our room and a special birthday breakfast table with champagne for my wife’s birthday. All unexpected but greatly appreciated. No doubt our future trip to Grainau will include a stay at the Waxenstein."
