"Had a lovely stay in Cabanas in this traditional Portuguese house in a small town. Everything was within walking distance. Close to the boardwalk and ferry across Ria Formosa lagoon to the beach. Two wonderful terraces. Nicely decorated with artistic touches. We had a few issues that required us to contact the owner who responded immediately. Would recommend to others!"

It’s a lovely home in a central area of Old Tavira within walking distance to grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, bus and train stations. "This is an idyllic place to stay, away from the crowds, on a wooded hillside surrounded by nature. The hosts, Heidi and Johannes, were very welcoming. The accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed. It is a short drive to Tavira, which has a good selection of cafés and restaurants and the nearby village of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo also has a small convenience store. The location is perfect, both for access to beaches and for hiking in the hills."

"The location was great. Unfortunately there was only one comfortable (two person) couch. The plumbing was a real problem, one of the bathrooms had a plugged toilet when we arrived. The problem was dealt with quickly - thank you. After it was cleared we chose not to use it. A smell endured from that bathroom for the remainder of our stay."

"We enjoyed this property tremendously. It is the perfect indoor/outdoor combination for this area. We could sleep indoor or outdoor depending on the weather, the kitchen is separate and open as is the dining table. The pool is great with amazing views. And the whole area and its buildings is beautiful and contains many excellent art piece. Given the warm weather this was the perfect setting for us. "A most wonderful and extraordinary setting. Four unique and exquisitely designed houses, acres of garden, sculpture, birds, pool. Everything seems to be designed and created to be both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Hosts are so friendly and helpful. You do need to shop wisely for basic provisions as it is a long way from any shops. The nearby towns and villages, Tavira, Fusetta etc are wonderful, if you can tear yourself away from this tranquil place surrounded by nature."

"I was impressed with the property initially, it was well equipped but lacked a milk jug and teapot. Also the internet was often unavailable.One of the biggest problem were the beds, far too low and the pillows were poorly filled and therefore uncomfortable.I had to go out and buy two new ones.
