The hotel has a beautiful view. My stay was Saturday and Sunday and there was great activities on Saturday with performance of folkloric dance, traditional "bolero" music and other selections and a show at the disco. The food is good. Our room was a little stuffy and the toilet was not working properly, but we called and it was fixed very fast. The walls are thin.

I booked three “premium” rooms. They didn’t feel premium. It was a bit dated. The view was the star of the show. I would book with confidence. The waiters at the restaurant were super friendly and helpful with questions. Breakfast buffet was a bit pricy for the area but not the worst.

Room was very clean, staff slightly above average, breakfast is not included, coffee is very bad. May need an AWD if it rains as access road gets very slippery. Restaurant should keep better quality meals to keep guests at the hotel.

Very slow service and the food was cold we order the order was wrong we didn’t eat at the hotel after that at all. It was our first impression a very different hotel and the weekend when was full there in the week not the same.

The views were amazing and the place was wonderful. There wasn't enough direction about what was available at the resort, and most of what was available was closed so it was a bit alienating. Lift should be included in hotel, and is advertised to be.

Hotel and amenities are amazing. Especially if you come with family and want kids to be able to run around freely. Big pool with lots of chairs and a million dollar view. Same view for restaurant. Unfortunately our stay was off to a bad start when we showed up and they didn’t have a room ready at check-in time. Reservation was made 2 weeks prior. Restaurant food is great, service is poor with the exception of Alejandro, he was a jewel. Same for pool area, you will have to find your waiters.

The hotel is the most relaxing way to enjoy Taxco. The town is so dense because of the mountainside location, that you need a place to retreat from the noise, traffic and density of the folks working thier way up and down the cobblestone streets (with no sidewalks). The hotel provides a welcome respite. The Saturday night fiesta was similar to cruise ship entertainment, smart, sassy and fun. We enjoyed it all. Gracias. What I would suggest to management for weekend entertainment: The circular palapa club that overlooks the pool has a spectacular night view of the city. HIRE THE TRIO that played during the Sunday brunch: Los Betos. They were older, traditional and played all the songs from the 40s and 50's that all mexicanos love. Unfortunately, that night, the hotel had a singer guitarist, who was not on par with the other entertainment. Easy fix, and older folks will have a nice place to hang out with romantic tunes on stage. IMHO.

MonteTaxco Hotel is very very beautiful. It sits on top of a beautiful mountain that overlooks the city of Taxco. It has amazing amenities and the staff is very nice and welcoming. The only bad thing is that because of its location, it is far away from anything NOT related to the hotel. In other words, if you want to get to a convenience store or bakery or restaurant that’s different from the hotel, you have to take a taxi down to the town or the teleferico.
