"We have stayed here 3 times and it is clear from our most recent visit that maintaining and keeping the property in good condition is not a priority. It's tired with many things not working and in need of update or repair. Location is great and its comfortable however it hasn't aged well. The staff in general are great but the state of the property lets it down."

"We enjoyed every moment of 6 day stay in this 2 bedroom villa. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Even when we arrived earlier than expected they gave us access to a smaller room to rest up until our room was ready . The room service menu options were delicious. The villa was beautiful!!!! "Stay was during May-25 at the Akohara retreat in Ubud. On arrival greeted by staff with flower garland, drinks and local traditional dance. This is definitely a couples retreat. Our room was six levels down a mountain, some 405 steps down. We used the inclinator elevator to travel between our room and main pool and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Dewi and team (there's another girl whom I didn't recall the name), who went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. She was always smiling and ready to assist me with anything. The villa was clean (no mozzies and bugs) and spacious, with a beautiful view of the garden and the pool. It had everything I needed, such as a comfortable bed, a big bathtub and a private pool of decent size....
